There you go again using the moral/immoral language!!! Kate, everything starts with the language. Before you embark on your wonderful, exciting sojourn post-JW I would highly recommend losing the JW language ASAP. I immediately quit using term such as 'the truth' when referring to JWs. Change your language and you will be much happier. I won't let others choose my 'morals' for me, and I like myself and feel more ethical and decent now than I ever did as a JW.

For what it's worth, I have been single for 19 years and for most of that period i was not in a relationship. I very much lived a bachelor's life but I am picky and selective. Even so, I enjoyed my life VERY much. But I was also very honest with those with whom I had no desire for a relationship; it is what it is. Of course it isn't 'immoral' to date a much younger man. Or woman. Or both. At the same time. Just be honest, take reasonable precautions and enjoy.

Something to ponder: if you spent your adolescence in the cult and married very young, you may be about to live it, your adolescence, now. I'd advise asking your friends who were not JWs what they learned about their sexuality during their teen and college years. Exploring is one thing, but being naive and being taken advantage of is another. Not a good idea to run this question by a man who wants only in your pants, unless of course that is okay with you, because it might be okay with you.

I've noticed something about JWs, more the ones raised in, some leave and they over correct. They go from extreme off the road to the other extreme off the road. Finding the balance can be tricky, even for those of us who were not JWs in our teens and had freedom to explore.

I have none, my whole life was a JW, and all my friends are JWs or ex JWs sadly thats why I am talking about casual sex on an internet forum. Good idea though. Love Kate xx

I can tell you one thing about a lot of men, they love the idea of conquest. The more challenged they are, the longer they will stick around. The less challenged they are, the more quickly they get bored and run on to the next conquest. I'm speaking of sex here. You're on the rebound, so not a good time to be jumping into another relationship, but if you want a guy to stick around for more dates, then don't be easy. By easy I mean, easy to get into bed.

Kate, I understand about the lack of friends when you come out. Making quality friends that you can trust is a challenge in life, especially for people leaving a cult. There are a lot of us here, some raised in and some not, who will be glad to be your friend. The reason I mentioned friends who were not raised ins is because some of them will have had experience and can share some of the pitfalls and successes of sex and sexual relationships outside marriage.
