so simon you can now pass judgement on others faith.

so following your logic all the many good Muslims who ARE standing up rejecting this are not Muslim either.

SO disappointing to realize how many bigots are here....but heartening to see that we haven't all gone down that road.

" There is no obvious comparison between the 2 groups. The KKK never was on the same level of terror that ISIS is"

So the bombing schools and killing children, raping women, actually getting into government seats in the united states and pushing thier murderous agenda, the constant intimidation tactics that prevented peopel from learning. All of this over a period longer than a century. The KKK was a part of the fabric of the government of this country.

Please realize as well that the KKK and its beliefs spawned the many thousands of other White Supermist groups in the USA and abroad.

BE clear that Isis has killed 5,500 in it's reign so far and the entire earth wants to step in. In this country in 2 days from May 31 to June 1, thousands were killed by ordinary citizens who subscribed to those same KKK leanings and teachings but nothing was done. There was no outcry from the world as a whole.

Freddo, you are correct, but apparently they aren't REAL Muslims( they just don't know it)!!

Like I implied, but now say clearly: "ISIS kill far more Muslims than they do any other religion."

To non muslims they are all simply 'muslims' but to muslims they are completely different and distinguishable warring factions. I guess similar to how Catholic and Protestant 'christian' factions faught each other?

Given that muslims consider certain other muslims to be 'not real muslims' it seems reasonable for others to do the same but use different criteria.

It's a Sunni and Shia conflict that the west can't help interfering with and has how given rise to more radical incarnations.

confusedandalone, following simons logic ALL Americans were responsible for those KKK monsters, and all should have been banned or worse...

confusedandalone: I think the kkk point has been covered, it's now really off-topic.

Mikado: I note that you haven't managed to actually point to anything said, just mischaracterise it.

And yes, I think everyone can pass judgement (and in 'have an opinion') on others' faiths as that is what all faiths do to everyone else ... sadly, some often seek to follow it up with more than an opinion.

The discussion is re an ideology, islam. Calling islam I disease is like calling the ideology of the kkk a disease. We can agree or disagree if this is unfair but it is not calling all americans diseased.

See how things never work out when one makes broad sweeping statements. How easy it would be to just say, "Ya know what... I was wrong" or "Wow, I guess I just wasn't fully thinking this through when I made this emotional response"
