Just like the Watchtower.....if not believing it all Moderates were allowed it would weaken the claim of inspiration by the "Prophet". The Moderate then would fall into the apostate non-believer catagory, and subject to the mandated punishments. In JWismlam they would love to be able to kill apostates, but since they can't they subject them to a spiritual death by disfellowshipping.

Most muslims around the world may not stone people to death themselves but they follow and support an ideology that clearly advocates it.
"Says YOU."
No, says them. You're the one deciding what you think they believe. I'm the one listening to what they say they believe.
LOL!
Ok. I guess since you say you have 'listened' so very well to what actual mainstream Muslims say about stoning people to death, nobody can change your mind on this!
(you might want to get your hearing checked.)

Aw bless, but you may want to actually read the polls and research of many more muslims in many more countries that I'm sure even you have first hand experience of. That way you'll actually see what they say and not what you imagine it would be nice to hear them say.
Again, you haven't contributed to the discussion other than to say "I don't like your opinion". It's fine to disagree but it's good to have some reason for it that you can actually express in words otherwise people may just imagine you have some beef with me and simply want to disagree with anything I say just for the sake of it.

Dear PEOPLE READING THIS THREAD:
Please do not imagine I simply want to disagree with anything Simon says just for the sake of it. I do have a beef with him about posting the OP and painting all Muslims with a broad brush as I feel that is illogical and very wrong on many levels and has no place on a civilized message board. I have attempted to always contribute to the converstation and I am so sorry that after 58 pages I laughed out loud and was a bit sarcastic.
I agree with Simon on many things. But not the things he says on this thread. I do believe I have supported what I've said with facts or logic.
I could go google up some proof for the fact that most muslims in the world don't believe in stoning people to death, but what is the point? He will never believe anything I post or say 'those aren't real muslims' or something. So instead I just laughed. so sue me.
So, dear readers, if you want to know if most of the worlds 1.4 billion muslims believe in stoning people to death or what the Koran says about it, please do google it and do research on a variety of balanced sites, not muslim-hate sites. Please, dear readers, do good research using good sources and make up your own mind.
Again, I am not wanting to simply disagree with anything Simon says just for the sake of it. It is many of the incorrect things he is saying about this topic that I object to, period.

lisa, you are a sweet, good hearted person. But you are very narrow minded on a broad subject. The darling, innocent Muslims are not the ones trying to destroy everyone who is not a Muslim, ie "infidels". The murderous, hate filled Muslims seem to be the ones who have hijacked the Muslim name brand. Don't blame those who have have eyes and ears for their conclusions.
Just a reminder, Islam is not a race, it is a religion. It puts JW's in the shade when it comes to being a destructive cult.

Gregor, you just made my own point that all Muslims around the world do not believe the same as the terrorists radical Muslims.
I agree that radical islam is a CULT. I do agree that radical Islam is our enemy and that it must be stopped. I agree with that 100%.

Do you honestly believe that suppressing the truth about Islams doctrines, and calling Islam "a religion of peace" helps to achieve that objective of stopping radical Islam, and its recruiting efforts?

Simon
Lisa, you still don't get it. Having 'most' Muslims (in certain countries) not outright supporting the most barbaric and extreme tenets of their faith is not the same as the religion being peaceful by a country mile.
'Most' is indefensible but 'many' is equally damning for a religion that pretends it is peaceful which we know are just blatant lies to fool the naive.
There are major things wrong with it and you can dance around the issue all you like and try and twist the discussion to be something it's not (e.g. "do ALL Muslims want to kill everyone?") but you cannot address the central issue which is that Islam is not a religion of peace and encourages hate and violence whether everyone follows it or not.
The people who don't follow it but see the need to identify themselves as Muslim are possibly trapped, possibly idiots, certainly providing cover for the environment to exist but definitely not being honest somewhere.

@lisaBObeesa - you might want to reconsider your view that most muslims don't support stoning.
The following muslim-majority countries or areas have de jure stoning: Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Sudan, northern Nigeria and Mauritania. In Pakistan recently a woman was stoned to death outside Lahore court by her own family, including her father, because she married a man without their consent. The police or members of the public didn't stop this and most family members fled the scene. It seems Pakistan has de facto stoning.
What do you think about this?
