OK alpha man in a thread about a woman beheaded, someone posts a youtube video about a guy at a halloween parade dressed as a Zombie Mohammed who gets "choked" by someone trying to remove a sign... the two do not equate.

I post a video with a corrupt cop planting crack cocaine in a mans store which is far more deplorable then the Zombie video. Far more.

It illustrates something that goes far over your head and also helps to further open dialogue about things in this country.

It illustrates that zealots and extremists are sometimes given a free pass in western (civilized) countries. Would the same be done to someone in a predominantly muslim country if the tables were turned? Would an athiest be free to even so much as walk the streets in broad daylight as he/she wants, without having to hide who they truly are/what they believe?

As a woman, all it would take in many muslim-dominated countries is to go out without accompaniment of a close male relative. They don't issue drivers licenses to females. Women must have a male relative's permission to travel, inside and outside the country itself.

It is true that not all Muslims are fanatical, aggressive and anti everyone however Islam is certainly not a religion of peace by any stretch of the imagination but it is a religion of war, a very cursory reading of the Koran about what it says regarding the non muslims will make that obvious very quickly. Muhhamed was nothing but a vicious war lord that killed, tortured, raped and sold into slavery many victims and anyone with half a brain will understand that such a man can not possibly produce a peaceful religion as he has no peaceful attitude towards others. The thorny bush will not produce figs but thorns.

Those peaceful and moderate muslims, apart from those that are hypocrites, are such despite the Koran and not because of it they just don't have by nature a belligerant personality. The fanatical muslims are the genuine muslims the real spiritualual children of Mohammed in his own nature and image the ones that follow the Koran to the letter. As for those politicians (Obama, Cameron etc) who declare that Islam is a peaceful religion are either totally ignorant of history or deceiving the public due to vested interests. When all well versed Islamic scholars and priests declare that the believers of Islam should have a belligerant and supremacist attitude towards unbelievers as they always did since Mohammed's time how do these politicians come to different conclusions when most likely they don't know anything about Islam? The next thing we will hear is that Nazism is a peaceful and humane political ideology!!! Some mercy please.

Luhe - your question is a strawman. I'm not arguing that many muslim majority countries don't have poor (to varying degrees) human rights records (I don't think anyone is actually, but I won't speak for anyone else). I am arguing that abandoning our values is not the right response to people who don't share said values. Many right wing christians once wanted to do the same thing to atheists, back when communism, instead of terrorism, was the boogeyman we were all supposed to be afraid of.
