You stated that apostates were working "behind the scenes", as if to imply that they were secretive and manipulative. AlanF's statement(s) were nothing of the sort.

Apparently, he is operating right out in the open. And I applaud him for his efforts. (and the efforts of all others involved)

Secondly, his comment does not state that he is doing anything to "damage the Watchtower"... apparently they can do that all by themselves. If the Watchtower is "damaged" it is by it's own practices, not anything someone says.

Again, who created this particular problem? The "apostates" or the WTBS?

Your problem, is that you now see just how bad the WTBS really is, and there is nothing you can do to stop others from seeing it for what it is.

Another reason that the intro to the segment was so powerful, is that the current "preaching work" is so innefective that no one even questions what was stated.

When the Catholic Church scandel broke, no one wanted to believe it was possible.

When this one broke, everyone believed it IS possible, and worse yet HONEST evidence was presented.

By thier fruits you will know them... what fruits does the average person recognize the WTBS for? Go take a poll on the street, find out for yourself.

When was the last time you heard POSITIVE mention of them anywhere? (Outside of thier own propeganda of course).

You're right. There's not a whole lot that can be said, except 'that's a shame'. I know there are a lot of sad stories out there. I have seen unloving and outrageous stuff by elders and others. I've got my own woeful tale to tell, but I ain't gonna tell it. I am afraid that many more brothers and sisters are going to be stumbled before it's over with, but just because someone is stumbled by unkindness or some Watchtower folly doesn't mean that I am going to abandon my faith. Jesus said, as part of the evidence of his presence, that "many will be stumbled." So, that's what we see taking place now, at least the beginning phase of what I believe will be a massive shake out. All I can do is try and encourage my fellow Witnesses to try and get over the stumbling blocks and trust Jehovah when every thing seems to be going wrong. / You Know

Whenever their predictions/speculations did not materialize, they resort to the tried and true 'it's a test' or 'this will shake out the weak'.

If you really want to stare THE BLACK ART OF PROPAGANDA dead in the face, just read your last post. Every assinine prophet this man inspired religion has appointed; Russell, Rutherford, Franz, have capitalized on this propaganda.

Surely Robert a loving God of peace and unity, would not allow for such to happen in his name. If he is truly a jealous god, he could not allow his name to be so besmirched. It is not pretty, it is nothing more than deciet, lies to cover lies, DARK is not the word for it. EVIL because it is so cruel to play with peoples minds and hearts.

That's not true. The Watchtower has never applied Christ's prophecy about many being stumbled that way. It's actually a revolutionary thought.

Are you saying that you know what Jehovah's judgments are in these matters? I would beg to difer with your misguided opinion. The fact is that God has always allowed his people to bring reproach upon his name. The nation of Israel was notorious for bringing shame of God's name. That didn't mean they weren't his people. It simply brought them in line for God's rebuke and correction.

I have dozens of close long-lasting friendships with brothers and sisters all over North America. I have a father-son relationship with Jehovah God. I am completely happy being one of Jehovah's Witnesses. What do you possibly have to offer me?

Just when does the Watchtower and it's various sooth sayer's part company. Only when it is convienent eh?

I remember countless times both my father and mother, who were intimate with Judge Rutherford, mom his house keeper, dad his body guard/driver, stories of Russell/Rutherford explaining away 1918 the rapture year. One story involved breakfast at Bethel, where Rutherford did in fact apply the principle of a test, weeding out those who were stumbled by not witnessing the rapture.

This god Jehovah must be very trite and small. This allowing reproach upon his name, does not fit a jealous god's demeanor. He goes to all the trouble of liberating a people for his name, yet allows (sanctions) reproach on his name. Sounds masochistic to me.

Oh yeah a god just lurking in the wings wantonly waiting for his chosen ones to screw up again.....so he could 'rebuke and correct them'...with an almighty god like that, who needs the devil?

You must get past the reliance on others, before you ever understand.

Somewhere along the line Robert, you must have realized that you needed someone or something. Could of been drugs, achohol, sex, whatever...something happened to make you feel, you needed something.

Millions of people fall victim to scams for weight loss, recovery from drugs, promises of a happier life....if only you join our group, our family, our way. Funny thing alot of help is given in this fashion, but it does not insure by any means that God is behind it.

You have had some good come from your association with Jw's. Perhaps better than you ever had it before joining the group. Thats great.

Attributing all of the good to a masterful heavenly plan, is where the problem starts getting off track. When God gets attached, he is blamed for all the good and the bad. He can't win for losing.

Leave God out of it, you got nothing more than a good writing staff, with a distribution staff of millions of fervent follower's, willing to spend their lives in sacrificed on the alter of a publishing company, who have capitalized on what you just said.
