  JC, For the record, do you believe there was a global flood that killed people and animals, as per Gen 7:4: "For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth." Did it literally happen and when did it happen?

  that's what my dad has said at various times over many years.

  i think it helps encourage him that the end must be very near and the paradise will be here soon.

  my thought has always been "oh yes it can get a lot worse.

  OMG!!! I have been crying for the last 2 hours...I just got Pell grant!!!!

  pell grant is a federal grant for low income people that wants to go to college but doesn't have that much money to support it.. ok, here's my story.... my ex makes good money...i get divorced but they still use the "last" years tax...meaning, even though i'm not "making" that money anymore "too bad".. i've been in college for 2 1/2 years now, ending my first degree, signing up for my ba.... i was just approved for pell grants and "other" federal assistance for college!!!!!!!!.

  i've been after them for 2 years and it's finally arrived.... what does that mean for me????.

  my loans won't be 15,000 per degree but rather more like 4,000....i don't have to worry about buying my books anymore.

  decades ago, when my brother was a teenager and i a young 20 something year old full of the truth, he got disfellowshipped for inappropriate behavior with his 17-year old girlfriend.

  he cried.

  i remember it like it was yesterday.

  these manuscripts were available to the king james translators but were rejected because of the thousands of disagreements with each other as well as disagreement with between 95% to 99% of all other ancient manuscripts.

  additionally, they were very messy with many marginal notations and scratch outs, etc.

  but even if they are, many have shown that older is not an adequate criteria for determining accuracy.

  You have to accept the Jews as Gods chosen people. They did, and they wrote about it.
  
  The JW's also accept themselves as being God's chosen people, and they also write about it.
  
  It takes a lot of insight to see when you are chosen.
  
  Insight: penetrating mental vision or discernment; faculty of seeing into inner character or underlying truth.

  you don't need to exaggerate the foibles of jws to get the point across that they are not "the truth".

  can you state some facts that show that jehovah's witnesses are not "normal' and that their religion is weird and simply abnormal?.
