  isn`t it strange that jw`s have such a problem with ex`s?

  try as they might to hang their watchtower labels onto me, i just don`t seem to be the person that they think that i should be!.

  i think that i`ve become far more honest than the average jw.

  Red Nose Day-Will JW`s Take Part?

  i wonder how many witnesses will, on march 16th.

  (a) wearing a red nose to the meeting / ministry work.. (b) fastening a red nose to the grill of the family car.. (c) telling jokes for charity.. (d) rushing to the phone with their credit card details as the bbc raise millions for africa.. (e) doing anything consructively beneficial for africa at all.. (f) tut-tut at how dreadful this wicked old world has become.. please support comic relief!

  i`ve just read a post on h20 by "dmouse" re the circuit assembly at dudley, england.

  apparently there were only 3 baptised there this weekend, but that is not what intrigues me; my devious apostate mind (hee hee) sees another way of making some luvverly lolly!.

  it`s all to do with the feeding arrangements.

  Are Kingdom Songs Good for You?

  i have a little theory buzzing around in the back of my mind.

  it was triggered by trevors comments re the low self esteem that is endured by many jw youngsters.. i`m wondering if the singing of kingdom songs can actually make you feel depressed and worthless.

  i know it might seem a strange idea at first, but see if my reasoning doesn`t make at least some sense.. i frequently see the tv ad for linguaphone, the language learning course, that uses your repetition of foreign language phrases spoken along with a cassette recording.

  i couldn`t resist the "headline", but it is absolutely true, i`m the ex-witness and my everloving was the bunny.

  this being saint valentines day, it seems a very appropriate moment to share the story:.

  back in `72 i was df`d , olivetti were in the throws of bankrupting me, i was living in a grotty bed-sit and going through a nightmare divorce.. one day, i got a message from my ex - lets be friends!

  Dub in the Pub: Update.

  i`ve had a few inquiries re my elder pal, otherwise known as the "dub in the pub".. just to recap: i like to spend my final hour of the day relaxing over a few beers in my local pub.

  we`re a pretty fun lovin` bunch and the repartee flows thick and fast.. we`re only a few miles from the border with wales, so most of us have inherited the welsh habit of tacking someones occupation or hobby on the end of a persons name.

  it works like this: i have a pint with roy the guinness, chat to dave the taxi, play dominoes with pete the paint, who always beats me, mike the windows.

  Is Napster Home For Demons?

  i remember that in my days as a jw, re-recording a cassette or record was regarded as fraudulent conduct.

  the idea was that the original artist was being deprived of royalties, so the practise was verboten.. if you were going to make recordings, then record talks at assemblies!.

  it seems that the downloading of napster has re-awakened many jw consciences, not only because of its stated purpose of sharing music files, but because of napsters logo.. so what exactly is that little white face?
