Has any GB member ever applied for USA citizenship?
by maryacclaim inthis subject may have already been hashed out on here in the past so let me know if so.. i was just curious though, because it would be an excellent point when discussing malawai and such.. here's the oath of citizenship:.
i hereby declare, on oath, that i absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which i have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that i will support and defend the constitution and laws of the united states of america against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that i will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that i will bear arms on behalf of the united states when required by the law; that i will perform noncombatant service in the armed forces of the united states when required by the law; that i will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that i take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me god.. just wondering.. .

I got reinstated, cont.
by maryacclaim inthanks blondie for the comment, i have to say you are one of the famous here on j-w.net so its an honor.. to answer some of those who think i did this and now i live a lie or a life of regret, i say this.. i did live a lie most of my life, i had so many questions that never got answered.
i didn't want to do bad by no means but i also didn't feel it was an organizations right to strip someone of their rights due to a difference of opinion.
it was actually a great deed they did for me when they df'd me.

Clarifying the Trinity Doctrine
by UnDisfellowshipped insince there is so much confusion among ex-jw's, jw's, and christians in general about exactly what the trinity doctrine is, i decided to post this to clarify this teaching.. the historical trinity doctrine of the christian (protestant and catholic) churches has always been this:.
* there is only one true god by nature.. * there are three distinct persons who share equally the nature of god.. * there are not three different gods (that is the false doctrine of tritheism or polytheism).. * there is not one person who is revealed three different ways (that is the false doctrine of modalism).. * however, each person of the trinity does have his own "role" or "function.
" the son willingly obeys the father.

Can't speak with me, unless they need something
by Stan Conroy inafter many, many years outside of the jw world, my elderly parents finally decided to give me an ultimatum.
i either rejoin the jw's or they will never speak with me again.
apparently my brother is going to get the same choice.

Why Do So Many DF'd End In Some Sort Of Trouble?
by african GB Member inmost ex-jw's df/da that i know end up living a dangerous life.
some get into drugs, prostitution, gangsterism, etc.
as a result they prove the jw theory that says "whoever leaves jehovah's organisation won't make it" right.. it's difficult for me to say this, but it seems like jw's are partly right on this one.. why do most ex-dubs end up in a predicament of some sort?
