  There are many authors that I like personally since, the Greek literature it is the best in the world.

  The novel the Last Tempetation by Nikos Kazantzakis it is one of my favoured. He tried to see Jesus from the human point of view.

  Also George Orwell and the masterpiece he wrote 1984. It was the novel(although there are some prophetic happenings how it would be the world in the future) that helped me realize that the WT was just like Big Brother and how they manipulate people. It indeed my favored

  Oh my God, you must be very brave to do that!!! I have one step daughter and she never meet with her real father, she left her when she was 1 year old. She is with me since she was 5 more than 11 years together, but still she asks her mother about her father, what he was like and many other staff that she never asks me.

  Faithful & Discreet Slave - NEW LIGHT

  ok........has anybody been hearing rumors about new light on the faithful and discreet slave teaching?

  i recently talked to one of my ex-bethel buddies and he said that an adjustment has been in the works for awhile now and that the new light for the fds will be that they will receive their appointment before the great tribulation and that they didn't receive it at 1918-19 as previously taught.

  their works (global preaching work, worldwide growth, etc) up until the point of the great tribulation will show that they have been faithful and discreet in caring for the lord's interests and worthy of "official" appointment before the end comes.

  i was 15, quite old compared to some.. a friends child has just got baptised at 13.....to think that she knows what she wants for the rest of her life at that age seems ludicrous.. so, who here got baptised at the youngest age?.

  my wife and i joke about the differences in our own halls all the time.

  i swear she lived in a country club compared to my hall.. just to give a couple of examples:.

  and this is from when i was growing up until i left home at 18.. every single weekend was field service.

  conversely, i really would like to know what the younger ones here think are the must -hear songs for every generation.

  without my daughters in my life, i don't get to hear the better offerings of the new artists.
