  Is this normal witness behavior?

  i quit my bible study a couple days ago after taking a month or two to work up the guts.

  have been getting harassing emails/phone calls blah blah blah.

  but i got an email today telling me that an unbelieving spouse can be "sanctified" by his believing mate.

And now that I "know the truth" (I had a meeting to become an unbaptized publisher tomorrow so I had been studying for awhile) I am going to have to realize I will be responsible for my husband being destroyed at Armageddon and do I really want that on my conscience?

  WTF?

  If that is indeed WT doctrine, then I know a "worldly" guy who is being drug to the KH by his witness wife who is trying to convert him in an effort to "save his life at Armageddon" who would be f***ing thrilled to know that he is "sactified" just by remaining married to her. At least he could quit the Sun morning & Wed evening crap. (Course she would still have to go.....)

  Dinner hand-holding prayer at someone else's house (or at a restaurant)

  as an atheist, i do not pray, however sometimes i will go to someone's house or to a restaurant for dinner and the others at the table will hold hands and pray.. when this happens, i politely decline and abstain while they do their thing.. .

  is it rude for an atheist to politely decline to participate in a hand-holding group prayer, or is the act of hand-holding prayer a form of religious coercion and itself rude?.

  I always have felt that hand holding crap during a big communal prayer was creepy -- and I'm not an atheist.

  i had to share this sad experience... even if it's not in my top priority list.. my older brother from my mom's first marriage unfortunately passed away last night.

  he had been struggling with health issues, the last few years.

  this is a very sad time in the family as you can imagine, specially because my mother lost her youngest son just five years ago.

  ...he has been "encouraging" my brother to give a talk about resurrection and to share with all worldly family what promises Jehovah's witnesses have. They see it as a perfect opportunity to witness to others and use it as an experience in the special campaign going on right now....I will not forgive my brother for not having the balls to stand up to his crazy JW wife, who is a true fundamentalist JW Taliban!

  Sorry for the family's loss. Sadly, his crazy JW wife is who likely has the final say on the whole matter. If she wants him to have a traditional JW funeral, she can do so, even if his will dictates otherwise.

  June 15th WT - WT Society Pressures JW Parents to Indoctrinate Children

  in a non-study article in the jw only watchtower is an article titled " should youths get baptized ?

  " the wt society is losing young people in very large numbers - so how else to try stemming the exodus than putting pressure on jw parents to indoctrinate and instill mind control into their children ?

  in one section here in this article it almost sounds like a version of " 20 questions " that the wt society asks parents to determine if their children are making " spiritual progress " as they phrase it.

  The WT society is losing young people in very large numbers - so how else to try stemming the exodus than putting pressure on JW parents to indoctrinate AND instill mind control into their children ?

  An even better way is to get them baptized and then threaten them with the loss of all their family & friends if they don't toe-the-line the WT way.

  i have a few questions regarding moving and changing congs.

  i would love to hear from former elders.. .

  my wife and i will be moving soon, and as i described in an earlier post we will be using the move as an opportunity to fade.

  Just to cover your tracks, I would change congos at least twice in Chicago. Very good chance that the 2nd "new" cong will then not have the name or address of your original cong in St Louis, thus could not return the cards on their own whim.

  don't get me wrong, it does suck.

  but after being on ex-jw boards for years, and being df'ed for almost 10; i do see some hidden blessings.. first, you do not have to struggle with fading successfully.

  Who got the US National Holocaust Museum to add wts publications to its library to ensure the truth is told? Apostates. (The org worked hard & was able to delay that for years, but we finally triumphed.)

  Quick question, what does it mean when its announced that someone is no longer a Jehovah's witness?

  as the title asks, does this mean that the person has been disfellowship on the basis on what the wb&ts considers as a sin or would this more like the person no longer wants to be a jw?.

  Good point WWIT . . . it obscures the numbers voluntarily leaving as opposed to being dirty little sinners and getting kicked out . . . a high volume of voluntary leavers doesn't look good on the books

  I always assumed it was just for legal reasons -- such as DF for joining military etc -- but this makes real sense too!

  Tell them THESE are the BIBLE doctrines you need to address now because a "friend" provided you with information from online sources that implicate JWs with several issues that you think would disqualify their claims as God's ONLY Spirit-Directed religion if these things are true. DO NOT LET THEM GET YOU OFF SUBJET. THESE ISSUES MUST BE ANSWERED FIRST:

  1) REVELATION 18:4 "fornicating with the Great Harlot" as an NGO member of United Nations

  Tell them that if any of the above allegations are true, it seems that SATAN IS LEADING THEM ASTRAY!
