  hey all!

  me, elsewhere, jesika and her sister spent about four hours today at a busy intersection (the same intersection where jesika did the press conference, right in front of the k.h.!

  The Watchtower Ain't Moses!

  Can you tell the diference between Moses and the WTS?

  That's a question all JWs should be asked because many of them really don't seem to know.

  Another line the JWs use is "even the apostles made mistakes."

  Fact is, the WTS is not Moses or the apostles or any one else God has used in the past.

  The JWs just can't seem to recognize the vast differences between them and those used by God in the Bible.

  Those used by God.-----------------------The WTS

  #1---- performed miracles-------------------Has NOT performed miracles.
  #2---- Made true prophecies-----------------Has made FALSE prophecies.
  #3---- Pointed to Jesus as the--------------Points to themselves saying, a persom
  only way to salvation.----------------Must become apart of the WTS to maybe
  -------------------------------------------be saved.
  #5---- always had proof that they were
  being used by God.---------------------------Has NO proof. NEVER had proof. NEVER will.

  And there are many, many other differences.

  So with all the differences, JWs still think the WTS is what they say they are.

  This is exactly how cults get started.
  Someone can say something others might like to hear.
  The person offers no proof to back up what is being said.
  But people are so desperate to believe it that they throw their God given powers of reason out the window.

  the wts has used the fall of jericho as a prophetic pattern to show amongst other things that at the time of the end there would be an intensification of the preaching work to correspond with the israelites walking round the city seven times.

  however, do we see an intensification?

  Have we forgotten the 'Good News' the JWs really teach???

  What was the message you and I brought to the people at the doors???

  The message was this.

  ALL of the people on earth will be destroyed.
  Except, the JWs.
  So...If you want to be spared, maybe, you MUST become a JW.
  And,you MUST go door to door and try to distribute the magazines.
  And you MUST do MORE...MORE....MORE

  Isn't that the real message the JWs preach?????

  It's no wonder the preaching work is slowing down.
  Most people realize the WTS is a false prophet.

  Seeking advice on official DA

  for a very long time, i have held off on making my departure from the jw's official (though, i am as far removed from them as i can be) because of my mother.

  i did not want her to feel she must shun me when there would be no one to replace my presence in her life.

  this was for practical reasons as well as well as emotional.

  "Don't play their game. Don't cooperate with their
  sick system of repression. Don't DA yourself."

  It's playing by their rules to DA yourself.

  Of course it's your decision but if you ask me, and you kind of did by bringing this up on the board, the DA deal is just something the WTS would like members who no longer agree with them to do to make their (the WTS) job easier to have their members ignore, shun and otherwise treat as dead the ones who DA themselves.

  What better way can the WTS have to ensure that their followers completely cut off those that don't agree with the WTS?

  This way, any reasonable argument you may have about the WTS, any disagreement and any question you may have will fall on deaf ears.

  Why play by their rules?

  Do you agree that the WTS does not speak for God?

  Do you agree that they are a man made and man run orginization?

  Do you agree that their 5 meetings a week was nothing more than sales meetings to teach their free labor how to sell, place or anything you wish to call it, thier magazines?

  Do you agree that they use fear tactics to control their followers?

  If you agree with these things, you have already DA'd yourself in your heart.

  You'll only make their job easier by putting it on paper.

  my eldest daughter is 17 this month...and we have discussed the 'pill'.

  Would you really not be woried about what could happen in the middle of the night?

  I'm a father to a couple of girls.

  How Have U Changed since Leaving?

  i've been thinking about changes in my world view lately and wonder if others have had a similarly subtle, yet profound, outlook on life.

  not being a jw nor even a believer anymore has made a subtle change that ive observed.

  to begin with, i read somewhere that people tend to bring their own standards to their religion.

  For one thing, I only get dressed up for weddings and funerals now.
  Not for 5 meetings a week.

  I don't take anything as 'truth' without solid evidence anymore.

  Try to be less judgemental than as a JW.

  I also don't believe any one person or group has all the answers.

  And we know as JWs, WE had all the answers. NOT!!!!!
