Jehovah has always "gradually" revealed his purpose to mankind.
I can understand your point...and it's a very good one...but it should be consistant then. There are cases where the Society taught one way changed it to a different understanding because of "New Light"..but then went back to the original statement. That would be going backwards instead of "gradually" teaching.

Scotsman... I was where you are not that long ago, maybe 5 years ago...but I have opened my eyes to see what I wish was not true. I want this (JW beliefs) to be the Truth! I spent my whole life believing it hook, line, and sinker...raised in it..... I have commented elsewhere on this forum about this...who doesnt want all the promises of the WT to come true (paradise, live forever, see dead loved ones, perfect health)...but its all a fantasy..and...

I respect your desire to defend the JW beliefs...I would have been at your side not long ago....
... but if you are here, then you either a) have doubts yourself about JW beliefs or b) are ignoring the faithful slave by being here and you should hurry up and immediately turn yourself in to the local BOE for a session of kind counsel serious Judicial Committee Ass Whoopin about the dangers of the internet apostate sites. I am not aware of such a situation, or if it has happened it must have been fairly minor.
And even if it has happened, does that undermine all teachings of Jehovahs People?
Of course not.

Sure John didn't understand it all, but those words he was inspired to write down haven't changed. The "inspired" words the GB has written down have changed a myriad of times.

Can you back that statement up with a scripture, and don't quote Prpverbs 4:18, which is used out of context by the watchtower, and if read in context from verse 14 is obviously referring to the differrent outcomes for the wicked and the righteous, and has nothing to do with revealed scriptural knowledge

Here's a few
Flip-Flops As the Watchtower is Jehovah’s only selected organization on earth which is guided by his holy spirit, why is it that the Watchtower keep changing their understanding of his words in the Bible? Once would be acceptable, twice, three times or even 6 times is not. When ever the Watchtower changes it’s mind on an issue it uses the “New Light” mantra very effectively with its loyal members as it always manages to keep the rank and file Jehovah’s Witnesses happy. However, surely the “New Light” mantra can only work for the first time a doctrine changes. How, can you go from ‘New Light’ to ‘Old light’, back to ‘New light’ and then go back to the ‘Old Light’ again. Would Jehovah really lead his own organization in such a manner?
