    To Fullofdoubtnow.

You site many examples but many of these if not all of them could be explained.

I agree their has been some left to right and back again on " a few" things. A desire to do the right thing is the motive for such.

One you mention is the understanding of Blood and Blood fractions. Technology and advances in medicine are one contributing factor in this.

The key understandings are not changed. A clearer picture starts to emerge.

And even if it has happened, does that undermine all teachings of Jehovahs People?

That depends on who you mean by "Jehovah's People"... What it DOES do however, is undermine all the teachings of the Watchtower. It also undermines the doctrine of the Faithful and Discreet Slave dispensing food at the proper time !

It seems to me that a better illustration would be "dispensing FAST FOOD to fill a gap".

It sounds harsh, but the facts speak for themselves. What Ninja's excellent clippings don't show is how many people died for rejecting organ transplants between the time that the Society outlawed transplantation and the time that they lifted the ban.

How is this in keeping with "I desire mercy, not sacrifice" ?

How is their constant teaching that "the time is at hand" not related to Jesus' warning in Luke 21:8 ?

hey scotsman mate....we have all been there and had to face inconvenient truths head on....painful ...but truth should reign...don't you agree....they can't say that god gave them dates and then when they don't come true blame it on human imperfection....if its from god ...it cant be wrong....look at deuteronomy chapter 18 verse 20-22....then ask yourself ...does that apply to the watchtower.....remember they said it was from god that they got these things....all the best on your search for truth....ninja

if Jehovah is gradually sending New Light, then why would he flip-flop back on some things?

Perhaps the light was flickering a bit too much then lol!

Changes are usually made for convenience, like the generation change, because all the 1914 generation were dying off, and the watchtower had to think of something new or have yet another failed prophecy to explain. It's similar to the latest flash of light regarding the gathering of the anointed - if they are still being gathered, the org has an explanation why the number of partakers increases so often.

that 1874 date for the presence of christ didnt finally get changed until 1943.....that means through russell and rutherfords reigns they still thought jesus came invisibly in 1874.....why does the watchtower now say they were expecting his invisible presence (in 1014) before 1914...when it is patently untrue...or even lying.....go check for yourself mate.....

    How about this one

Who is The 'Lord' as mentioned in Romans 10:12-16

    • 1903 - 'Lord' refers to Jesus.
    • 1940 - 'Lord' refers to Jehovah.
    • 1978 - 'Lord' refers to Jesus.
    • 1980 - 'Lord' refers to Jehovah

In my opinion, an organisation that god has selected to represent him on earth should get that right the first time. He surely wouldn't send them mixed messages on something like that.

Jehovah has always "gradually" revealed his purpose to mankind. John was given the Revelation - but did he understand it all? No. Why? He did not need to know." Sure John didn't understand it all, but those words he was inspired to write down haven't changed. The "inspired" words the GB has written down have changed a myriad of times.

Good point, Bob. And this is 'new light?' They're always quick to point the finger when any other religion adjusts their beliefs

    Excellent posts, Ninjy!
