Perhaps someone can send Ghandi's writings to these terrorists, huh?

Torturing another human being takes someone who has no empathy for another's pain and suffering.
If they did have empathy, they would not be able to do it. It would be only be done under duress.
If Terrorists have the ability to be psychotic and unfeeling towards others,
and the american gov't wants to destroy them before they destroy ''the american way of life'',
how does stooping to their level make them any better?
it doesn't.
I am not against ''fighting terrorism''. But I do believe that torturing suspects makes the torturer just like them.
Just to clarify, min, I don't think bribery works.
I was comparing it to torture. Both might get you a confession. But the confession is probably not the truth.

Waterboarding is torture and I bet there is a whole lot more we really don't know about.
Torture is sickening and has been proven that it does not produce accurate results. FOR SHAME ON THIS STINKING ADMINISTRATION!

Awful, barbaric behaviour! Haven't we evolved farther than to do such a thing to another person?

Any administration before Bush Jr's would of atleast denied it. If a US agent was caught torturing they would of been punished no matter what. That is not saying the CIA had black programs were going on before Bush came to power. The CIA hides away things like this until someone like Reagan, Bush Sr, Bush Jr someone they think would OK it comes into office then tells them in secret. I would not doubt Bush Sr knew something was going on though. He headed the CIA for awhile, or for that matter Reagan. But as far as Bush Sr, and Reagan had this come up under them they would of denied it was going on, and, or faked an investgation to get those responsible for it. They would of never admited like Bush Jr has to allowing or approving of it officialy, and stating it's importance to intelligence. Everyone knows it has no value to intelligence! It is what you do to intimidate your enemies into submission!

It's hard to deny waterboarding when so many people have detailed what they went thru. As senile as Reagan was, I don't think even he could've denied those testimonials.

I am a Soldier in Iraq. An independant tribesman soldier. Al qaida hate me, and so do the Americans. Both sides are shooting and have me pinned down. I may experience some type of torture if I am captured. Who do I surrender to?........oompa

You won't like what I have to say and I don't really care!
When it comes to people who want to destroy people as Americans or Canadians or anyone ANYWHERE.........they are called TERRORISTS.
TERRORISTS do not deserve any rights under any law or convention (such as Geneva) Their only goal is to kill you..........even if it means torture until you die.
All of you BLEEDING HEARTS here on JWD (I just wrote a list of your online names, but decided they don't have to be posted, because you and all the rest of us know who you are) need to take a real long look at what is happening. You are a potential victim of Muslim extremeism. Not all Muslims are this way, but forget the political and feel good DIVERSITY correctness for once and know that you and your family's lives are in danger. Please pull your heads out of your ass.
Don't you think for one minute that any one of them would slit your throat or the throat of your children to further their cause? Where are your minds for crying out loud?
By saying you don't like what our government is doing about the terrorism threat is like saying that you are on their side! Forget that this administration has been screwed up by Bush and his cohorts. No matter who is in charge......these people still want us dead. So hooray for Bush or whoever else is in control or was or will be in control. I'm happy that they have the balls to do what they do to protect my way of life. Do you want to give up your way of life to cowtow to these killers ......intent on destroying you...your relatives.....your children?
If they are caught in activities that show that they want to commit atrocities against citizens of another country or belief...........then I say......waterboarding and any means of getting them to spill the beans on their cohorts is acceptable.
Maybe some of you need to have one of your own family members die at their hands to change your FEEL GOOD attitude. Maybe you need what happened to Nick Berg...happen to one of your own family members to wake you up to the REAL world of terrorism. Maybe you have it a little too good in your life!
And to you bleeding hearts against waterboarding or any other means of interrogation, I'm sure you just think our soldiers are bad too! Those guys who are putting their lives on the line to protect your freedom to spout your bull$hite feel good opinions on JWD.
I'm glad that in my Vietman years........that interrogation saved the lives of many many many of my fellow soldiers.
If you didn't/don't have a family member who shed a drop of blood in defending your freedoms...then you just plain don't care. Why not buy a plane ticket and go and join the enemy. See how long you like the way of life there.\
Ok......so it's your turn to blast me...........go ahead.......put the rag on your head and behave just like the rest of the ones who want you and me dead.
HappyDad.................proud to be an American .............and an X

Happy Dad, your comments might provoke certain ones to enlighten you. I agree with you. War is atrocious and terrible things happen that we might never even realize does. But if someone is intent on killing you, I frankly don't care how THEY feel about their "rights".
