Its hard to say how much diffrence thiswill make if it is true, I hope it softens things, for all those that do still care you could help by sending letters showing that the shunning especially with family is hurting people to much and should equally be taken lower.

Yeah - It looks like they really want their ranks thinned out , don't they ? They are doing this as a desperate move to keep any of us inactive ones from giving out too much important " mind freeing " information to our meeting attending relatives . In other words - more attempts at " information control " so the " faithful witnesses " aren't swayed or allowed to be corrupted by inactive ones. Bastards. And it's no skin off their nose if they break up more families in the process ! It will be interesting to see how many regular attending witnesses shun inactive relatives who they had previously been associating with ! Should be interesting ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper

If that is true, I would have to go to the Kingdom Hall again to stay in touch with my JW family.

according to the scriptures, didn't the congregation remove the wicked man? Didn't THEY make that move of removal? Scripturally, I think they're missing something here
(1Corinthians5:12-13) . . .For what do I have to do with judging those outside? Do YOU not judge those inside, 13 while God judges those outside? "Remove the wicked [man] from among yourselves."
yes you are right but they can still get away with......
(Matthew18:15-17) . . .Moreover, if your brother commits a sin, go lay bare his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother. 16 But if he does not listen, take along with you one or two more, in order that at the mouth of two or three witnesses every matter may be established. 17 If he does not listen to them, speak to the congregation. If he does not listen even to the congregation, let him be to you just as a man of the nations and as a tax collector.
In fact, when the WTS puts their spin on this many will wonder why it hasnt always been this way.........

*** w93 7/15 p. 27 Tenderly Shepherding Jehovah’s Precious Sheep ***Inactivity in the ministry or in attending Christian meetings does not mean that the sheep is no longer part of the flock. He remains part of "all the flock" for whom the elders must "render an account" to Jehovah.
I find it very hard to believe that the WTS will be able to get this past the rank and file that merely not attending meetings or turning in time is a scriptural reason for "shunning" someone.
I'll just wait and see.

might be fun to have an attorney send a C&D letter on the announcement. However, by redefining the DA rules, the Legal Department seems to have found away to flush us out.
we have already seen this be the case with blood and voting in eastern europe, it is illegal for the org to enforce a restriction of human rights to its R&F and practice in some countries.
I would assume the legal dept. sees the writing on the wall as these sorts of "protections" are implimented in more countries. It also turns the tables for the previously DF'd individual who attempts to sue the society for cruel and unusual punishment by way of DF'ing. "we didnt do anything, you did this to yourself! you only have yourself to blame. We cant tell you what to do!"
i believe this 100%

We have an upcoming study article in the WT about "helping lost sheep to return". Maybe this is the big stick to beat them back into the flock?
A war on fading?

I made some comments in the introduction to the translation of the outline which I had to delete. I'm getting freaked out that by leaking the outline I'll be called to task.
