When I read some of your posts here I get the eery feeling that some of you don't want Franz to come out with more details. I ask, why?
Are some of you still affiliated with the WT? Is someone trying to shut him up? Some of you give me the feeling that there is more hidden than some of you want revealed. How can more info on what's been going on at the WT be hurtful to our case? It can only be hurtful to the WT. Which ones of you are protecting the WT? Is there anybody posting here a member of the GB, or maybe an informer? Then you're violating your own rules. But then, are we used to anything else?Hello brothers and sisters, where are you now?

You really need to stop looking for conspiracies and hidden motives from the people here. In time you will see that most of us are not very far in thought from where you are and many of us have been where you are emotionally. We simply have come to accept life (and the WTS) for what it is. Sometimes things are the way they are and wishing they were otherwise is fruitless. Not only is there little point to it, fussing over "what ought to be" wastes time and energy, two things that most of us have wasted enough of already.
You can rid yourself of the "eerie feeling" that you have concerning us. Make no mistake about it: as much as we love and value the information that Ray passed along to us in CoC and In Search, you can bet that we would all love to hear more. We aren't trying to "shut him up" -- a ridiculous thought!... this is America!! Neither are we trying to protect anyone. Our motivations are simply basic common courtesy and a recognition of someone's personal rights. That's it.
Just because Brother Franz knows something doesn't mean we have the right to stick him w/ pins and needles and make him tell. If he ever decides to speak on matters, he's earned the respect of thousands to the extent that we will listen, rest assured. Otherwise, he's moved on and so have we. That's what he wanted. In time, you'll move on, too.
Ray has said enough. As JT said, any honest person who loves Jehovah, the Bible, real truth, common decency -- be they JW or non-JW -- who reads either of those books will have enough reason to seriously question the Organization. We don't need to read about who had a drinking problem, who slept with who's wife, who never went out in field service. Supporters of the organization would be able to point to Eli's sons, Solomon, David... a host of Biblical characters who supposedly worshipped Jehovah but sinned. Apologist would then be able to discount other more meaningful parts of Ray's disclosures.
Just curious... where are you in your journey to freedom from the borg? I was raised a Witness, was baptized in 1974 when I was 17, and began to question/examine my religion (as I had told others for years) about ten years ago.

WE feel you man, but TJ put it best- many of us have been where you are right now, and in time "IF YOU DECIDE" you will be able to move on.
many of us reconize your cry is merely the anger that one feels when they realize that the WT has Bamboozled and Hoodwinked them.

Yrs in wt- any exp with the life and death rules of wt- blood- transplants, served jail time for wt rules on alternative service
The reason I ask-- is if you have exp the cold steel rules of wt in these areas you got every right at this point in your life to be pissed
How long have you been on the net, when did you leave- did you serve as a MS or Elder- did you sell your house and move for wt sake- did you give up a job and it's benifits for wt rules
As i mentioned these are the types of things that many here have done for wt and now only to find out it was for NOTHING
As i often say--- all of us bought into the WT "Beach Front Property Timeshare" that wt sells to everyone who crosses the door of a Kingdom Hall- we all now of course realize it was for WEEK 53
JUST asking questions to help me and perhaps others understand why the WT Craw is stuck in your side at this point in your life
but beleive me when i say-- many of us fully understand how you feel

CONGRATS to all the RayFranz Worshippers for your attempts to change the issue away from the indefensible position that it is 100% okay that RF may be withholding and may go to his grave concealing info about the WTS which noone else can reveal.
The last couple pages of this thread stinks from all the red herrings, excuses, blame, attacks etc.
I doubt that there is any xjw who is unappreciative of what RF has done thus far, but it is ridiculous to allow such appreciation to rise to a level of worship that would accept and justify the possibility that RF may die without disclosing all he knows about the WTS.

You know MA, you got me to thinking...
Maybe we can get a contingent of ex-JWs together and we can beat a path down to Georgia, U.S.A. We can find where Ray lives -- it shouldn't be that hard -- and snatch him in the middle of the night.
There's got to be an abandoned warehouse or apartment building close by. We can sit him in the middle of one of the larger rooms on a hard wooden chair; duct tape him in real nice and tight; and shine a 200 watt light in his face. Dripping water on his forehead would be a cool touch.
We can threaten to pull out his fingernails one at a time until he starts talking. Three or four of us will be sure to have our tape recorders going while a couple others man video recorders. He will be kept for a minimum of 72 hours while he's questioned about every single person, event and theological point that he only skimmed over in his two other books - if he mentioned them at all. If he's cooperative, we'll feed him Happy Meals. I don't want to think about what we'll do if he's NOT.
What do you think of this plan, MA? Might work, eh?
