I think the term God Bless him, fits very well in the case of Raymond Franz. He obviously sincerely believes in him.
God bless you Ray.
As to the other maledictions placed on RF's head in this thread, I would like to see these young/old warrior's snap their tounges at this 80yr old man..up close and personal...if they did, society's law's of civility and respect would damn them, for doing so.
teejay, Once again you said it better than I could:
"In my not so humble opinion, it's not Ray's job to help anyone and everyone of us exJWs find closure with the WTS. Ray could know enough to write fifteen more best sellers and he can keep it ALL to himself... every last word... as far as I'm concerned. Would I like for him to say more? Of course, but I don't think he owes me a damn thing. I'm happy w/ the gift he's given me already."
I could too easily get emotional about this. Why cant we appreciate what good is extended to us without crying we deserve more? Why not ask ourselves if we are living up to the standard we are imposing on others?
We all see and understand your pain, esp when you made this comment
"How about closing it for me?"
In time my friend you will find that measure of closure that many of us have already found, being bitter, pissed off, anger they are all the normal feelings one will have on this journey that you are on
Hang in there my man and I in no way want to come across for to you or anyone else as dogging you-- you pain is understood by perhaps many more of us than you may realize
and in time you will not need to continue to look to SOMEONE ELSE TO GIVE YOU CLOSURE
You will provide that for yourself and trust me- YOUR DAY IS COMING JUST HOLD TIGHT
There are two-by-fours, two-by-sixes, lumber of every description laying all around; sheets of plywood and all sorts of building materials in abundance. Power tools and hand tools galore -- everything one needs to build -- lay at the fingertips, ready to be put to use.
Still, people insist that someone else come along and do the building for them. Somehow they find a way to blame the one who's provided everything they need to build a house on their own.
