  Actually, can you show me in the bible where is said satan rebelled and tried to take god's power?

  I don't think the bible says he tried to take God's power (maybe I misunderstand what you mean by power), but implicitly it says he did rebell

  Ezekiel 28:

  11 The word of the LORD came to me: 12 "Son of man, take up a lament concerning the king of Tyre and say to him: 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says:

  RE: the flood,

  I am sure that for the writers of the OT and for the ones that paste down the verbal tradtion before it was put in writing, the flood must have seemed global and I am sure that it must have seemed that they were the only surviors.

  Now, one can ask why did Jesus perpatrate this "myth" when he knew better?

  And that is a fair question and I speculate that it was because of WHO his message was being directed to.

  The fact that Jesus didn't go into much details about the nature of God and His OWN very nature or go into the nature of the universe and creation probaly means that he knew it was above the undertanding of his intended audience.

  Doesn't it strike you that it might just be the teeeeniest bit insane that an all powerful creator god gets his nose so far out of joint because one of his creations nibbles a bit of fruit???????????

  ....and this is after he created all of the animals in the world, and created them using sex to procreate................. and he forgot to make a woman for a man?????????????????????????

  Surprise! surprise! Every critter on the planet had someone to bonk and God forgot to make one for Adam, so he has to make one out of a spare rib????????????

  Do you really........... I mean, really .......................... believe that????????

  The bible is not a science book, it is a collection of ancient writings and many of them in a "poetic" and symbolic form.

  Eve being of Man is an illustration of hwo man and woman are the same and equal, the circle of life:

  Woman came from man and yet, woman gives birth to Man.

  The Tao of male and female.

  The one and only place this word occurs in the Bible.

  Imo, worrying about Armageddon is much ado about nothing.

  After all, the Bible says it's God's war - can we take a hint from that?

  Jesus not giving details is not the same as perpatrating a myth. Wouldn't implying something to be correct, such as perpatrating a myth, be dishonest? How could Jesus be dishonest?

  But it's not the only place that the concept of God bringing the about the destruction in the future is mentioned.

  I agree with PSacramento. You can't elaborate what is beyond their understanding. You would have to use reasonings that they can relate to in their limited knowledge. If someone from the very distant future visited me in a time machine and I questioned how it was possible, I doubt I could comprehend his explaination - he would have to use very basic layman's terms to give me some simple idea, but still I wouldn't grasp it completely.

  Something interesting to ponder in the scriptures concerning Ezekiel's wheel vision:

  "Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the River Chebar, that the heavens were opened and I saw visions of God . . .

  "Then I looked, and behold, a whirlwind was coming out of the north, a great cloud with raging fire engulfing itself; and brightness was all around it and radiating out of its midst like the color of amber, out of the midst of the fire. Also from within it came the likeness of four living creatures . . . Now as I looked at the living creatures, behold, a wheel was on the earth beside each living creature with its four faces. The appearance of the wheels and their workings was like the color of beryl, and all four had the same likeness. The appearance of their workings was, as it were, a wheel in the middle of a wheel. " (Ezekiel 1:1, 4-5,15-16, NKJV)

  Are we still beyond the ability to comprehend this?
