C'mon Shelby . . . you can't tell me what you've just posted above is not condescending . . . you're "not surprised" that some here have "no clue" despite your repeated attempts to HELP them.

You just misunderstood this one, Size.

No clue about 'her' and what 'she' believes, despite repeated e X planations as to such. There's no argument involved in telling someone what you believe, and such. Someone may disagree with what you believe (that is something to debate or discuss)... but that you believe it is not in question. If someone continues to imply that you believe 'such and such' when you have repeatedly stated that you do not believe 'such and such'... well, who's fault is that? That's what that comment referred to above.

At least that's what I understood.

There's a lot of implications in this thread about the personal attributes of others and a condescending approach . . . this one to AK for example . . .

I hope you noticed that there's a few condescending comments from AK, as well. So I'm not guessing that AK can complain about something that might come off or be condescending toward him.

Some of what I was saying got through . . . some didn't . . .

But how does the saying go? . . . "never the twain shall meet?" Shelby, I was indeed addressing two posters . . . and no offence intended . . . I called it as I saw it. Maybe it's a communication thing. But I think I get it.

I'm just looking for something here that holds water . . . and after 14 pages I only find nothing.

I'll guess I'll just have to get over the dissappointment.

AGuest - I will give you your use of CAPS as a way of emphasis (its very annoying as it is internet SHOUTING but hey you can use grammar and syntax as you want - I frequently misuse grammar as well.)

As to wanting to know the truth re supernatural I'm bemused by your phone call misdirection. Is that how you gained your further light and knowledge - by telephone? Why will a phone call differ from the written word (except to re-erect our personal space which will reduce our ability to openly critique our comments as we will need to default to politeness )? You may use my lack of comfort in calling strangers whom by their written comments seem (please remember that word) batty as a fruitcake i.e. you write things that are crazy to the rational and skeptical mind, as evidence that my so far frustrated search for supernatural evidence is just a facade. So be it though a quick check with the most peaceful and never violent head of the holy army of non-soldiers should be able to correct your misconception. I won't call you but that puts you in the same elevated status as the Scientologists, Raelians and my Great Aunt Nell who also have had to do without hearing my dulcet tones on the blower - (Aunt Nell is deaf).

BTW google Mystic - its not derogatory but seems the most accurate description of what you claim to be.

P.S. Sentences are normally meant to be read as a whole rather than broken up for dissection as that tends to ruin the meaning and certainly erases the context.

Looked at abstractly maybe higher intelligences view us merely as ants whether they claim the status of god or not. Even though I am vastly smarter than insects I don't really care whether they are secretly worshipping me in their bug eyed and hairy appendage way, I'm not bothered if the artistry of the web is an homage to my awesomeness or whether the red ants wiping out the black ants was over an age old doctrinal disagreement on how many biscuit crumbs to sacrifice back to me in tithing. I just don't care and as I put my spade through the mud in readiness for winter fallow I'm not fussed by the carnage and dismemberment of the bugs that I cause. Maybe we suffer simply because on a cosmic scale we just aren't important enough to spend additional energy and effort on..or as is highly likely the universe is not self aware and we are a glorious anomoly amidst the cosmic expanse and suffering is just our evolutionary heritage.

Well, I think this thread has about run its course, at least for me.

You asked what we thought. We told you what we thought. You don't accept anything that was offered. Your choice. But also our choice to believe and to understand the answer to your question, and share that understanding when asked.

No one answered the question I asked, but perhaps I'll start my own thread for that.

There are many more parties to the problem, but I will attempt to simplify it. I will describe two parties. One party led by Jeff* (and like Jeff), one party led by Aquest's Lord. There is tomorrow, Jeff's party does not recognize tomorrow. The Lord knows a better way to tomorrow, in which that road to tomorrow is pleasant, it even leads to a day where there is no more suffering. There are many in Jeff's party (Jeff being one) that would persuade a member of the Lord's party to change direction. That's all. Hard hearted? You bet!

*Someone will say I'm calling Jeff something here, but he is just an example.

We who are in the Lord's party (troops, if you will), are learning to think in an added dimension. But that's bad?

As long as I am venting, and because I can not find the proper category, I will state the obvious, that some in Jeff's party will not see. It is not God faith that has stumbled the world, it is money. No one will talk about it because we all like money. How? You say faith has stymied genius, but isn't it money that has stymied it?
