KS, your interpretation of Exodus is wrong, just like your interpretation of the YHWH character is wrong. Pharaoh's heart was hardened by God because God WAS Pharaoh AND he was also MOSES (I AM THAT I AM) who was Pharaoh's, and all of Ancient Egypt's, replacement. Moses falsely considered himself inferior because he was actually superior to his contemporaries and they hated him for it. So they convinced him that he was "slow of speech and tongue." Moses didn't have a impediment, he had an issue with self confidence because of the environment he was grown within. Egypt wasn't set up for destruction, that was the choice of her people. It could be around in it's former glory today if it didn't harden into wickedness because of the Will of the Serpent.

This seems almost like an unfair fight. Reminds me of the dark knight in monty python. He gets all of his limbs cut off, but still challenges them. He threatens them w a headbut. They just leave him there and walk away. Not sayin you guys should do that. Just sayin.

One last point, sabby, about success. I grew up in a cult, poor, in thesoutheastern US., never went to college. How is it that I managed to make it into the top 3% if the system is so unfair? How is it that i routinely get to do science almost every day?

You operate on the false assumption that because you did it anyone can. The game is rigged and you just happened to win. Good going! Now feed some starving kids.

sabastious, I don't know how much you know EntirelyPossible - but if he/she (sorry, I dunno) is anything like me - the poor and less priviledged are helped. In fact, many of my fellow atheist friends do work hard in soup kitchens and even worldwide. It's because the game is indeed rigged that those who still make it don't forget those with less luck. Atheists don't wait on god(s) - we are usually humanists too. Not all, but many. So I don't negate the good some religions do, but just to be fair, do not assume atheists are not concerned by Humanity.
