Not going to respond to the stuff that we've already hashed out continuously, but you have some new stuff that shows your misunderstanding:

Nobody needs to be saved from American law, or Australian law today.

No one is saying that a person needs to be saved from the law. I'm not sure how you even got that.

People need to be saved from... sin and death.

The law does not do this. The law saved no one.

Actually People need to be saved from the WRATH of GOD! Not from sin and death. The law is meant to KILL.

And yes Paul makes it clear that braking american law, state, local what ever, is sin, needing to be covered by Christ's blood.

    Rom 13:1

Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2 Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.

DD, what do you mean by wrath of God, exactly?

(and I was not singling out secular laws... that is just the quote. Christ does save us from sin and death; death being the consequence of sin; Christ being LIFE, and forgivness of sin; sin being shown to us through the law - though people used it to judge others, rather than themselves, as they were meant to do)

Phizzy stated something about Paul having no moral laws. Moral laws are learned by mankind (my opinion) and he was certainly busy learning jewish laws/traditions until his encounter with Christ --- he late start for him?

On different computer and just messed up size --- I hate this thing. Anyway, why do people lack in moral conduct/code -- ignorance, envy, pride, yada, yada.

I think sometimes, LV, the laws, rules, teachings, traditions that we impose upon others... conflict with love... and teach people to behave contrary to that law (of love) Then people convince themselves and others that this conflicted teaching is the loving/moral thing to do. So that their understanding of love becomes warped, leading them to think that something immoral is moral, and vice versa.

Like the wts and shunning, for instance. They teach their members that it is the loving thing to do, because it brings people back, and they will die outside of the org. They also teach fear with this, because they teach that you will lose your own place, if you disobey this (which teaches people to put themselves first and NOT to lay down their lives for a loved one).. AND.. fear that you will cause your loved one to lose his place too, if you give them comfort outside of the wts.

When we kick off the shackles of religion, say the wts, sometimes we still have a few chains hanging from us. The more we look to Christ and to love (his love, not the warped version), the easier it becomes to lose those remaining chains. Perhaps some people can be free at once, just by forgetting everything others taught them, and listening to only Christ. Others move a little more slowly (like me), and the more we learn love from Him, the more we lose the fear and the chains that man has given us. No reason to think that some of the disciples/apostles were any different. Peter drew back from the gentiles at some point. Paul set people to shunning someone in the congregation (though he reversed that in his next letter). Etc.

tammy -- can't say i learned much from the wts (poor attendance and brief run) but the words out of Jesus' mouth sure sound good on paper just a tad hard to follow. can't say i've studied his words in depth like many but effort applying love for neighbor (when something negative transpires) is grueling enough. It aint easy.

you are right about the wts -- everyone yearns for a family, loving parents, friends, etc. they play on human's weaknesses of dying to be accepted, fit in socially, be recognized and desire to feel wonderful about themselves and their fear tactics work. stage work 101!

This discussion has gone way too long.

The basic question in the OP has already been answered, and by more than one poster.

The rest is mP trying to wriggle out with non sequiturs, red herrings, strawmen, bad attempts at sophistry, and semantic games. He even interprets a different view as a personal "attack." That's a hater's attitude. Shake your feet and move on, folks. Life's too short.

When I read your verbose post it sounds quite arrogant and confused. You say that if you are of the elect, you are chosen, I presume by God. So a loving God choses who he wants to be in the elite..oops elect, gives them understanding and then gives them more but the others just won't understand because God hasn't allowed them to be. What loving parent would give more to one child and then condemn the other for not having what they gave to the other. It doesn't make sense to me!

It's true, I've already given up because I can't think of any other ways to say the same thing. I wouldn't necessarily call mP a hater; he's just making no effort to understand what people are saying to him.
