We're all humanity on one planet. There is no "us vs. them." There are issues, which need recognizing the core issue and coming up with a reasonable solution. Blanket "us vs them" mentality is backwards, limiting, and harmful to humanity.

Mainstream Islam certainly does not believe this. LUHE - you are very naive and arrogant - you think you alone know how Islam needs to change -- 'most rational people, don't want Islam to be like this'- like what exactly? - like the way you have characterised it - you are going to tell 1.6 billion Muslims what they should believe because you know best - you are going to change what is in the Quran?
Erm - are you defining what mainstream islam is and isn't?
Are you telling us what parts of the Quran are and are not applicable?
We're not trying to tell people what to believe. I don't give a damn if they want to believe some nonsense like other religions.
But what we can tell people is what they should NOT believe and promote which is that women are possessions and can be abused, non believers can and should be executed, homosexuals should be humiliated and put to dreath and so on.
It's called civilisation and we'd like to keep it.
Still, after 50+ pages no one has come out and been able to definitively say "those things are NOT believed by most muslims, they are NOT repeated in prayers and in mosques, they are NOT views held by moderate muslims as being the divine word of god"
All the evidence is that this particular religion is rife with extremist views and the label 'moderate' is being applied to people not at the far end of the spectrum but includes many who preach and teach the beliefs that the extremist views are based on.
