@KateWild - I've no doubt that you mean well and that you make good points on this thread and others.

However, there are fears that jihadi savages may bring the Syria/Iraq war to the streets of UK, Oz, NZ, US, Canada, etc.

I feel my attitude (what you would call my paranoia) is justified.

P.s. in what way is my ' paranoia' dangerous? I'm not planning to stab or behead anyone.

Surely it is the end of the world, for I have seen everything now. Ex-Jehovah's Witnesses using Koran verses to defend the disgusting religion of Islam like a Jehovah's Witness cultist on a thread about a 54 yo OK, USA grandmother who was beheaded at work by a Muslim.

It's not paranoia if a group has openly said that their mission is to do a certain thing - it's common sense to examine all possible threats and risks that may be avenues for them to accomplish what they have indicated are their aims.

We've had people beheaded in the street, at their places of work and on vacation. Believing that islam is dangerous is not being paranoid.

Who cares if you are targetted personally or randomly based on your skin color and religion - no one should be criticised or made to feel bad for having a low opinion of any who want to do that or any who's beliefs are not too distant from that.

or are you just sounding off again like when you asserted with great authority (based on your prejudices and without any conceivable evidence) that Muhamid was a pedo?

    .

Frazzled......this sounds like you might be denying or denfending Mohammad's pedophile relationship. Is that what you are really doing here? On a ex-Jehovah Witness forum you really need to make yourself clear on this subject.

    without any conceivable evidence

    Here you go...

Sahih al-Bukhari 3896 —Narrated Hisham’s father: Khadija died three years before the Prophet departed to Al-Madina. He stayed there for two years or so and then he wrote the marriage (wedding) contract with Aishah when she was a girl of six years of age, and he consummated that marriage when she was nine years old.

Sahih al-Bukhari 5158—Narrated Urwa: The Prophet wrote the (marriage contract) with Aisha while she was six years old and consummated his marriage with her while she was nine years old and she remained with him for nine years (i.e. till his death).

Sahih Muslim 3310—Aisha reported: Allah’s Apostle married me when I was six years old, and I was admitted to his house when I was nine years old.

Sahih Muslim 3311—Aisha reported that Allah’s Apostle married her when she was seven years old, and she was taken to his house as a bride when she was nine, and her dolls were with her; and when he (the Holy Prophet) died she was eighteen years old.

Sunan Abu Dawud 2116—Aishah said: The Apostle of Allah married me when I was seven years old. (The narrator Sulaiman said: Or six years.) He had intercourse with me when I was nine years old.

Please note that dolls were only permitted for pre-pubescent girls. Aisha still had her dolls when the marriage was consumanted.

A separate discussion focused on the definition of a moderate muslim is here:

What really is a moderate Muslim?

The islamic response to the accusation of their most revered prophet being a pedophile is either "so what" or death threats, rarely is it evidence that he wasn't because the evidence is overwhelming that he was.

Imagine christianity being based on a Jesus who married and slept with a 9 year old girl ?!?!

Whether it can be proved that Muhammad slept with either a 9 year old or a 19 year old girl in a sense doesn't matter.

What does matter is that there are child brides in the 21st century. Some muslim men are copying their understanding of Muhammad's example.

This is bad enough and must change.

Yeah, it is a little messed up. I don't understand how people can holding such contradictory positions.

They can be against the WTS yet defend a religion that makes what the WTS does practically pale into insignificance.

Maybe it's simply the "it hasn't affect me personally therefore it doesn't exist" trap?

    ... in a sense doesn't matter.

I agree, but if it's used to justify current evil then it does and strikes at the heart of the matter: do people really believe this garbage is the word of god?

How can you believe it? What evil would it take to convince some people that it isn't?
