Thanks for the fear of Americans and Western Countries Ebola is going to destroy Islamic Africa over the next five years! What about their scientists, who desires to live where your treated like shit if you decide not to belive in bullshit? They will fail and remain in darkness because of their fear of progress and science. Christianity dealt with these problems from 1700s-1900s while Islam was kept in it's little bubble because of fear of getting killed by zealous men. I am sure that if you really wanted to know you could type the two words "Progressive Muslim" into google and a plethora of things would come up. However, you would find a way to denounce them all and write the off.

There are some Muslims that will admit that times have changed and many things that are in the Quran are no longer valid and that things need to change to keep up with Modern society and thought? I have run into many and I am not shitting anyone.
So please define what it is to be a muslim. I thought it was belief in and adherance to gods commandments as written in the Quran. If they don't actually believe it then aren't they infact fake / pretend muslims?
At what point do you 'not' become a muslim? Can you disbelieve the entire Quran and be a muslim? Is it just a lifestyle choice?

We know the answer is there is none b/c they would be putting their life in danger to publically ( and maybe even within their family circles) saying they don't agree. That is why my friend LEFT Iran, so he could be free of radical Islam. He never even showed up at Mosque over here and no one cared. That was then ( 70-90's) and he warned me Islam was a violent religion and he'd have nothing to do with it. I wonder what on earth he'd do now, you now to protect his family? He'd roll over in his grave if he knew that what he risk his life to leave is now here.

Just a couple of corrections to some points you mentioned.
Firstly, your claim about the British Empire encompassing 90% of the world (Post 1369):
- It was never quite as large as that! At its peak, which was just after the end of WWI, the British Empire covered one third of the earth's land surface, and one quarter of its population.
Secondly, your statement that that this same empire still exists, albeit in a much reduced form (Post 1371):
- The British Empire is regarded as having effectively ended with the closure of the Colonial Office in 1966, following the independence of its last African colony, Bechuanaland (renamed Botswana), and the Universal Declaration of Independence of another colony, Rhodesia. As if that were not enough, Britain abondoned even any pretence of empire with its entry into the EEC in 1973 ( a central condition of membership being that trade preferences with countries outside of this group had to be abandoned). Even any empire-era defence ties ended the following year, 1974, when Britain abandoned its "East of Suez" commitments.
I know that this discussion is not supposed to be a history lesson, but it is essential to have ones facts right, as a poster's credibility does suffer otherwise (e.g. wild assertations about all Moslems being illiterate, or ebola being a disease that only afflicts Moslem countries).
