It depends whom they want to do harm to. I am speaking from the standpoint of someone in America who has a nation with a shit ton of problems here that are far worse than the one woman that was beheaded. Honestly at this point in time in America I am more likely to die at the hands of a Police officer or a crazy gun nut because I am playing Jimi Hendrixx to loud at the local 7-11.

It "depends on who they want to harm", really?! So as long as they aren't hurting black people then it's nothing to worry about, is that it? Sheesh. I think they should be dealt with WHOEVER they want to harm !!

And you still didn't answer: So what's your solution to the people who want to do harm but don't want to change?

Is your solution to try and avoid confronting the issue?

Timely debate and recognition of threat.

Glad to see the UK isn't pandering to the PC brigade - I think we may have finally reached and passed 'peak PC complaining' and can start implementing some common sense.

" I would define a moderate Muslim as one who would openly admit that Mo was a man of his times and that many of his writings ought to be ignored by all sensible 21st century people."

There are some Muslims that will admit that times have changed and many things that are in the Quran are no longer valid and that things need to change to keep up with Modern society and thought? I have run into many and I am not shitting anyone. Again I direct your attention to Indonesia and to a lesser extent Turkey. Travel aids in having a broader view of the religion. I am not a Muslim, Islam is not my choice of religion and can't waste my time with religion. However to lump all Muslims in with ISIS is not fair or correct.

" Why won't you pay Muslims the respect of believing them when they tell you why the murder people?" The many Muslim I have met will not murder people and have no intention of doing so. Many recognize that. Do you have Progressive Muslim friends, or spent time with anyone who is Muslim

'it depends on whom they want to do harm to' - these extremists want to harm anyone who won't conform 100% to their strict interpretation of sunni doctrine. This includes shia muslims, alawites, christians, yazidi, atheists, people who buy and sell alcohol, homosexual and bisexual people who are open about their sexuality, gamblers, hindus, sikhs, women who refuse to cover their face, people who go through with gender reassignment surgery, people who cohabit but don't marry ....

Feel free to add to this list.

Where the fuck did you get that from? As long as they are not hurting people in the nation I pay taxes to I can not be overly concerned when people here are getting killed and have no healthcare and no jobs and dying at the hands of police offers. America can not fix the worlds problems without fixing its own first.

No i do not want to exhaust the resources and human lives of thousands of troops fighting wars that really are not my concern any more. No I do not think thousands of US troops should be sent to the middle east. No I do not want millions of dollars worth of weapons sent to Israel. No I do not want Millions of dollars sent to Sudan for Aid. I do not want money that this country does not have and thousands of lives wiped out when there are problems here that are not addressed. POINT BLANK PERIOD

If people want to perform humanitarian aid like I also do by means of monetary donations that is fine however I am tired of this country getting involved in wars everywhere and people dying over them while ignoring its citizens.

Confused your ability to rewrite other people's views is very impressive.

There are some Muslims that will admit that times have changed and many things that are in the Quran are no longer valid

I already admitted that and said they were "very rare".

Please link me to a website or YouTube channel of practising Muslims who oppose Mo's war-mongering, misogyny and homophobia. There are millions of computer literate Muslims so it should be easy. Thanks.

" There are millions of computer literate Muslims so it should be easy." According to previous comments most of them are illiterate.

Confused your ability to rewrite other people's views is very impressive.

I did not rewrite your views. You said "very rare" and I said "some" words that do not have the same meaning.

I dont google often to find information however I have met plenty in my travels and my day to day life who will state that there are many things in the Quran that are not in line with modern society and that they carry on in the way that they feel is pleasing to them.

    " Now, there's a disturbing prospect..."

I am wondering if the people who are making most of these statements ever travel outside of the areas the live in? I have this idea that all of the opinions are just put together from snippets of articles and "youtube" videos that support thier ideologies.

    Time for some alchohol

Confused - If even 1% of practising Muslims are enlightened enough to eschew Mo's disgusting ethics there ought to be an embarassment of riches of articles and websites and YouTube videos promoting a new enlightened Islam.

    Where are they?

I dont google often to find information...

    cop out.
