oneyeopen, do you have any evidence that the percentage of the population that is gay has increased?

    Am I understanding your post? Are you suggesting that gay people either ;

    • choose to be gay
    • have been 'created' gay by some environmental factors in womb
    • have become gay by exposure to something like " bisphenal A"

Is it impossible that being born gay could be just a part of nature? You talk about it as if being gay is somehow wrong and potentially needs fixing?

Being a christian is a battle not easy, but we do exist in a time of a spiritual warfare, we were told it was NOT going to be EASY. You know being a christian comes with your very own torture stake.

    Christian paranoia at it's best.

As I asked " What exactly do you think is immoral about a faithful gay relationship?"

    Oneyeblind,

Marriage is a secular institution, and it has been practiced long before Xtianity appeared or even belief in your fairly tale Jah. I'm ok with you believing whatever you wish to believe, just as I support the Constitution's protection of church state separation which respects religious beliefs as long as they don't conflict with the state. But when it comes to the secular world what you believe about others' genitalia and how they use them is none of your business. What consenting adults do in private, I repeat, is none of your business, has never been any of your business and will never be any of your business. If you wish to keep your genitalia to yourself then by all means do so; in the meantime keep your judgments about what others do with theirs to yourself as well.

Please keep your narrow minded judgments to yourself or share them within your domicile or your place of worship.

In the real, secular world your beliefs have no place. Keep them to yourself. The world is rapidly changing, tellling you the same thing. I suggest you and Perry, rather than holding on to centuries' old dogma, deal with it or remain silent. The judgmental nouns and adjectives you use will one day be considered hate speech, because that is what it is. It may make you feel superior, but it is hate. And that isn't an opinion. The sooner that day arrives the better off our planet will be.

AlphaMan, clearly you have trouble reading and\or understanding...

No.....your senseless ranting about gay marriage and anyone who doesn't agree that Christian Pastors should be forced to marry them is homophobic & racist makes you sound unstable.

You think what I have said is 'senseless'? Yes clearly AlphaMan, saying discrimination against gay people is wrong is senseless. Shame on me.

At no point have I suggested pastors should be forced to marry gay couples. I have suggested that people that want to discriminate should not be allowed to marry anyone, the state should revoke their license.

Again, I cannot really type slower for you to help you understand, but... I am not saying you are a racist. It was a comparison. Sometimes people make 'comparisons' to help demonstrate a point or alter a view point, this was a mistake in your case as it seems you do not understand the concept.

So basically you think I sound unstable because of your inability to read and understand my posts on this board.

My concern is that the state is forcing a business to perform activities the owners do not want to participate in. How far does this extend?

What if I have an event business and I choose not to participate in 'Sweet 16' 'QuinceaƱera' or 'debutante' parties because I believe them to be culturally disgusting displays? Am I forced as a business to produce these?

If I am an athiest and don't want to participate in religious themed events? Don't believe in marriage at all and don't want to participate in producing marriage related events? Don't believe in Halloween and don't want to participate in producing Halloween events? The list could be endless.

This is an opportunity for the free market to create gay friendly marriage chapels if there is such a demand.

I suppose one option is for the business owners to shut down or move to another city or state where such meddling in private enterprise isn't an issue.

....I was once a married woman 10yrs, divorced young due his gross indiscretion, although NOT baptised into the ORG was associated for 25yrs, tried to live to His standards despite being disassociated at times, on average I'd be single a few yrs then partnered a few yrs each a bad experience with men..... with average 3-5yrs celibate in between patners... I'm tall slim blonde, atm celibate 5yrs,....I crave what most do...love acceptance for who we really are, you know the secret person of the heart, although past experiences were bad, although each time I'd have hope that not all experiences would be bad, but they were, sometimes thought maybe a woman would better meet me half way,at least emotionally but then I know that I do crave heteorsexual sex....but I know that the God I chose and continue to worship has certain standards, so I have to control whatever sexual impulses I have and NOT act on any of them...because I'm NoT married, I'm only43 still somewhat attractive....but I choose to sacrifice my desires for the greater good.

Firstly please stop SHOUTING, it's rude.

Marry to express their LOVE for each other or to BENEFIT from the laws that married people have.

Why should they not get to do both?

If it were SOLELY to express their love for each other then why NOT just have a CIVIL ceremony WHY force the GAY AGENDA on the CHRISTIANS.....

There is no such thing as a 'gay agenda' it's just people standing up for their right to be treated the same as everyone else. Of course there is the small point the the christian agenda has been forced on people for the last thousand years or so. It's not fun when the shoe is on the other foot is it?

Christians did NOT set the standard YHVH did!

No, people did. Tell me do you wear clothes of mixed fibres? Do you eat shrimp or lobster? Stoned anyone recently? No? then you don't get to use the bible to dictate other peoples lifestyles because that would make you a hypocrite.

Whether one is gay or straight or just haven't got a clue, virgins, there is always something that we find in ours that is not acceptable/compatible to Him.

I assume you are referring to the fact that preachers are just as likely to be doing a bit of molestation on the side anyway?

I am not saying you are a racist. It was a comparison.

    .

Yes you were. You were making a cheap and underhanded attempt to label me homohobic, because I didn't automatically get rabid because some Christian Pastors may object to marrying same sex couples. Then you tried to equate it with racism. Why would a gay couple want to force a Pastor to marry them? I would simply tell the Pastor to kiss our gay asses, and find someone who would marry us.

Caedes:Same stance could be taken by people with "Disability" or "Autism" or "Obesity" people just standing up for their right to be treated the same as anyone else. Yes well women are STILL fighting for that RIGHT..."Black white short tall old young it just goes on and on.

Maybe if a 20 something tried to join the over 50's club
