I was at a Halloween party (sober) and a guy was wearing a kilt. I asked him if I could ask him a really personal question and he smiled said no I am not wearing any underwear. I about died laughing. He knew what I was going to ask before I even said it. The point being if you wear something like that at least where I am from chances are you will be asked about your under garments. Blame the movie Brave Heart. Now as far as invading your personal space trying to look up your kilt that is totally inappropiate. I could not imagine doing something like that. In fact where I live it could be considered a misdemeanor sexual battery. Sorry that happened to you.

I'd like to know if anyone has any qualms about talking about RHCP like she's not even here?
Like I said, I don't know any details of events that have gone before, and I have replied purely out of conjecture, and that, I believe, was Littletoe's intention when he offered the question.

To be completely honest, If I saw a man in kilt, since it's not often that I do, I would ABSOLUTELY ask him is he was wearing any undies. But then again, I'm a pervert ;) But as to make any unwanted advances such as trying to lift or peak, that would be harrassing in my opinion. And of course I have double standards and would think it was harrassing if a man did that to a woman. As far as stepping in if I was witnessing it. I tend to believe that most woman can handle themselves. I wouldn't step in unless they specifically asked me to. I think most people are capable of saying "You know what, SERIOUSLY, knock it off, I dont appreciate it!" Anyone who continues past that point deserves whatever any spectator decides to step in.

Maybe this well help those of us, male or female, who do wonder what a true Scotsman wears under his kilt, therefore halting the need to ever ask that personal question again
(All in good humour, this thread reminded me of this photo I saw a couple of days ago ,sorry if I offended anyone!)

I don't mean to gossip about anybody...just wanted to comment on the original question.
Man, i seem to be damned no matter what thread I reply to this week LOL. Time for a mental-health break!
(((Es))) I'm not trying to point fingers...as we're all involved in this discussion. It is rather hard to discuss this without personalizing it to a specific situation too. I'm just wondering (as a side note of the purpose of this particular thread) how do we deal with it now that we all know what happened at the Fest. DO we deal with it? SHOULD we deal with it?
I feel a lot of compassion to LT and Princess for both of them were terribly hurt. But I also have a lot of compassion towards RHCP and her situation right now. When I first left the Borg, I made some really bad choices myself, which were humiliating. Thank God I had friends and a great therapist that helped me get over the shame I felt from those bad choices. I'm a stronger and healthier person today because of that.

Not meaning to digress, but regarding the current "fashion" of young ladies wearing their knickers pulled up tight above their jeans, I have the habit of telling them, "I CAN SEE YOUR KNICKERS". The thinking behind this is that if they are willing to do this as some weird fashion statement, I am willing to embarass them equally.

Do not talk about RHCP in this thread, please. We need that incident to go away. I don't want RHCP, Princess, or Ross bashed in any way.
Try to remember that 99.9% of you weren't there so you are not entitled to an opinion.
Okay?

I'm really not trying to be rude or nosy, but the cat's out of the bag already. None of us are bashing Ross or Princess, by any means - rarely will you find someone that dislikes either. BUT a lot of stuff has already been aired on this thread and others that probably should not have been aired...but it's too late unless those posts and our memories are erased. The incident is not just going to be forgotten about, even if the thread gets locked. What I thought might be nice is if we tried to get help to the situation now that it's been brought to the attention of the ENTIRE board.
Maybe I'm being too much of an idealist? I'm really not trying to stir the pot.

I wasn't directing it at you, Andi. I know no one is bashing Ross and Rachel, but we don't want this perpetuated, so it was just a warning.
