You dont believe in Jesus...What about prophecy and their fulfillments

ok so i dont believe in the bible anymore, but i what about all the prophecies that were "fullfilled" by jesus and all of the other fulfilled prophesis of bible?.

we have 3 missionaries for sure and lots of bethelites.

i was a permanent volunteer for a year in the branch in mexico.

oh and we have one gb member :-).

Who do you pray when you feel the need to pray if you dont believe in God?

sometimes when we face difficult situations i feel the need to pray to god for help, and i know that plenty of times the sole act of praying makes you feel hope and have a better outcome of the situation.

you can call it suggestive or that you prepare a positive scenario by using faith.

the outcome is that regardless if there is someone who listens or not to your prayers oftentimes you feel better afterwards and have more positive attitude.. the problem is that i dont believe in god anymore.

If we are a product of evolution why the need of specific elements in nature?

for years i believed that god had created all the plants and their elements and nutrients specifically for us.

yesterday as i was walking at the getty museum was smelling the garlic plants in the garden and made me wonder.

if we are a product of evolution and the survival of the fittest, why do we depend on a wide variety of plants to survive?

If theres no God why the earth, the brain the universe? (Atheist and Agnostics)

(this question is directed to all the atheist and agnostics in the forum only).

i like most of the people here believed in a god who created us and the earth.

it was easy to explain the reason on many things like the degrees of inclination of the earth, the existance of water in our planet, the existance of an atmosphere, they joy in all the senses, the clear superiority of the human beens versus all other animals, the posesion of a brain who attempts to explain itself.

HELP! Sinning Elders can stay as elders if they have blessing! when did this happened?

ok i have heard that at the beginning of the 80's the instruction said that the elders could remain as elders even if they had sinned 3 years before as long as their lives looked like they had jehovahs blessing.

i heard this instuction was givien in elders meeting.. does any one has more information?

i needed asap.

so many of you come here for recovery and some of you that are almost healed keep coming here and post all this articles and your letters and all the research and your experiences and in several post i have read that if only one person reads it and gets out of the borg then the time spent is worth it.. well i am one of those people.

i read this website and jwr and freeminds.org and jwfacts and thanks to all your posts and all the time you spent researching and posting and writting and even debating those jws that come to the board from time to tieme, thanks to your time spent my life or the remaining of it has been recovered.. so thank you all of you!

it doesnt matter what you believe right now.

HELP I need some ex-elders help for a phone conversation with my JW parents

ok this is the deal: i was dfd 14 years ago, i was just planning to go back last year.

i had planned to come back with a clean conscience so i started to study and research the wt to prove to myself this was the truth, the elders had met with me to suggest me to submit a letter of reinstatement, in the same meeting i told them i had some questions that i needed help with before i was to go back.

they said they were gonna answer those questions after i was reinstated :-d so i went by myself and started doing my research.
