- I'd shovel your snow to help you out
- I'd mow your lawn to be a good neighbor
- I'd help you haul brush to the dump
- I'd help you wash your dog
- I'd do whatever it took to make sure you were safe
- I hard times, I would share my food with you
That's what we do, that's who we are, we're Americans....even though we have differences of opinion.

It's the same visions of grandeur some of our right wing tools have. They think they are immune to the corporate rape somehow. That THEY are hard working, deserving, christian....................blah blah blah. But they are working for masters that will throw them in the fire as they threw everyone else before them. FHN, you seem like a nice person. You are also completely ignorant of financial managment and what it takes to manage cash flow in a complicated business. Enjoy your fantasies. Until you want to learn something other than what you already think I don't see any point in continuing.

Jeff, you don't have to overcomplicate things.
My second husband and I had our own business.
Without employees, you have no business. Employees don't work out of the kindness of their hearts. They want to get paid. And unless they are teenagers or women who have husbands who make good money, they hope to be paid enough to live. If you aren't bringing in enough money to pay those employees, then your business isn't going to survive. It's not the amount of money you are paying your employees that will break you. It's not having a viable business that will break you.
I make a decent wage for what I do. I could live easily off it if I got more than part time hours. My company gave each of us a $2 an hour increase soon after I went to work for them. Every single one of us sales/event advisors got that wage increase. I get even more money per hour when I do a road show or special event. Our company employs thousands all over the world. A well run company will pay its employees a fair, liveable wage. We work hard. We have each others' backs. We all love our company and boss. Our company thrives. My only gripe with them is that they don't give us at least 30 hours per week.
