LOL... I know, I know.... its terrible if he protects; its terrible if he doesn't. You will find fault either way... or claim some other way as if you can see farther and know better...tec

It would be awesome if he protected....but he doesn't...

And your version of him protecting/destroying is not what I consider loving at all. Unless you believe you are on the receiving end of this and to hell with everyone else who don't deserve it. I can see how slavery fits in with this type of logic.

By your own words tec...you condone slavery....*ooooh I like that saying too* LOL

No--actually that is not the point. You see, he does NOT protect---anyone----ever---and you have excuses for this. But you say he WILL protect people---one day---in the future. And because nobody gets protection today, you soothe yourself by saying they will get some protection in the future.

    It is my point.

You (general you) condemn Him for not stopping all the 'evil' people now; and then condemn him that He might do this then. (see Still's post above for reference) So which is it? Because it seems to me, that no matter what, you will find fault. Sort of a damned if you do, damned if you don't kind of thing.

He waits out of mercy... for all those who will still turn around, and come to life... rather than cut short their lives (in spirit). He will not commit an act of evil.

We have already established---he intervenes in things like internet debates, he does not interevene in rapes, starving, sickness, and murder.

He 'intervened' as you continue to go on about... by speaking. You think He does not speak against rape, allowing the poor to starve, murder, or any other bad things. Of course He does. He just does not force us to listen to Him. (sickness is part of the physical... happens to everyone... those who belong to Him and everyone else)

And his followers are baffling too. Take you. You choose to ask if you are being harsh in an internet debate, but you don't care to ask about slavery.

I didn't know if i was being too harsh. I do know about slavery. If you don't though... then you ask.

It is a cool saying... but you do have to make sure that you get the person's words right...

True, but you are free to correct me if I am in error, and explain otherwise. I'll probably even take your word for it ;)

Of course we do...he could if he existed. He wouldn't have to kill people to do it...just whisper in peoples ears to be at the right place at the right time...ie...someone being raped...whisper..you need to go to this place right now...such and such is about to happen...person goes...stops the rape. sorted...same with child abuse....murders, kidnapping, etc etc.

There are many many ways your god could help people...if he existed. But apparently he chooses to wait.........until all his followers have been properly abused and mistreated...then step in and destroy the ones he does not like. And this is love?????

People keep saying Jesus showed slavery was bad, but I still don't know where he said anything about it.

I doubt that...you already twisted what I said to be what you wanted it to mean...it took a fair bit of manipulating to twist what I said. Don't go hollier than thou claiming you are open to being corrected if you were wrong.

But then you (general you) ALSO condemn that he would stop the evil people at armageddon.

    Which is my point.

People still have to listen... right? The problem is... how many have the faith to recognize, and then trust His voice? Really hard to do if you don't even believe he exists.

The waiting... is a mercy. So that none who belong to him are lost.

I am open to being corrected if I am wrong. Nothing holier than thou about it.
