Why do people pretend good things about Jesus ?

Reality is imagination. You cannot replace Christ with the morals that science has indentified in the human brain because it's a downgrade. You cannot go ahead of your own Creator, but it's interesting to watch the attempts.

In that case, you have created a reality where slavery is OK, so it stands to reason you should be MY slave simply because I imagine it. Work for you?

And I mean the old school type of slave, not the kind where you think you get a wage, the kind where you get lashes for not making my sammich fast enough.

Yes I do it's called the evidence of corroborating independent conclusions across multiple cultural platforms.

It's called "making stuff up" and Sabby thinks imagination = reality. And that slavery is good. And fantaizes about punching me and driving nails into me with a hammer in fits of anger. YMMV with Sab's reality.

Wrong, our creation by God is self-evident.

Then explain the poor "design" of the human eye and 100's of other foibles that evolution perfectly explains and creation does not. Explain the mechanism a God used, as a spiritual being, to cause events like creation to happen in ours.

While i have not got a perfet knowledge of the NT where his story is told, i know enough its hyporcritical to lie about his image and pretend he was noble when he was a blind fool to put it mildly. Your image of Jesus only exists in your head, if you were honest you admit

Jesus failed instead of making up images of Christ that are not present in the Bible.

Now how would you know what is made up or not, if by your own words, you don't have full knowledge of the NT where (some... my edit) of his story is told?

Perhaps you should consider who is being the hypocrite and lying about his image...and pretending he was evil like Hitler and a blind fool? How many times was something in the bible that you did not realize in our previous discussions... that you would condemn someone such as Christ and not doubt your own conclusions?

You are listening to lies. You are making motivations and actions up where none exist. I am sorry that you do not see this.

Im sorry ive read the gospels a few times, i find it a hard time to picture a wonderful jesus knowing what a bullshitter and troublemaker he was because of what he did and what he didnt do. You might not realise it but Jesus was not a revolutionary. Im pretty sure your parents were good people, they loved you and took care of you. They also taught you basic good from bad. Funnily enough my parents did the same. I also learnt slavery and racism was wrong, amazingly jesus was not able to discern this. How exactly can such a great man fail and yet our everyday parents pass this moral test so easily ?

I dont appreicate how you can elevate someone so flawed and stained by the stupidities and evils of his culture like Jesus when you have much better examples of goodness in front of your own eyes.

Do you think it would be loving of God to allow a peaceful and loving people whom He has promised to protect to be victims of those who would come and destroy them?

LOL---if you haven't noticed, this happens all the time. We have pointed it out repeatedly---apparently it is only a real issue when god is doing the destroying.

LOL... I know, I know.... its terrible if he protects; its terrible if he doesn't. You will find fault either way... or claim some other way as if you can see farther and know better.

I'm gonna be at work all day. See ya later.

Ok i only read a few pages but someone tried to compare the historical evidance for julius ceaser and christ... Seriously??? Aside from the moutain of historical evidance, consider one key fact:

Christians claim jesus was god or gods perfect son and did miracle's upto and including turining water into wine. Ceaser is claimed to simply have been a man.

No--actually that is not the point. You see, he does NOT protect---anyone----ever---and you have excuses for this. But you say he WILL protect people---one day---in the future. And because nobody gets protection today, you soothe yourself by saying they will get some protection in the future.

We have already established---he intervenes in things like internet debates, he does not interevene in rapes, starving, sickness, and murder.

    But he WILL protect=========one day=========sure.

And his followers are baffling too. Take you. You choose to ask if you are being harsh in an internet debate, but you don't care to ask about slavery.

So you see---there are many, many LOL's there---but not for the reasons you pretend---not because he ever WOULD protect a single person, but because anyone would really believe he would.

You wanna know what the worst part is? Apparently Jesus turned the wine into a red burgundy, when the entree' served was FISH!! He couldn't even manage to turn it into some white varietal!! :)
