As for what pundits and reporters say about the focus of the campaign, who cares? Proposed policy tells a different story.
Tell that to BizzyBee. She seems to prefer talking about these things rather than substantive policy.

Just one right-of-center defender of Mittens? And most of that defense is "well, yeah, but Obama ain't much better"?
Poor BTS...where are his reinforcements?

Is this thread going to be another BTS pile on? There have been several lately. If that is the case, you can all go ahead and converse among yourselves.

obviously there are campaigners who work around the world. they worked netanyahu's campaign, they worked armenia's, they worked the ones in africa.
take a global persepctive and look at how those wonderful areas are doing and then explain to me why i'd want them involved in MY country's campaign
don't blame other people for your position

So, the map is way too simplistic to make any sort of conclusion.
Perhaps. So about a year ago (I think) BTS and I broke it down ourselves. We decided not to use the SS and Medicare figures because people often retire to the warmer, red states, and it skews the numbers. We also took out any federal money that was used for the upkeep of federal land. We limited it to purely social programs---health, food, education etc.
The we broke it down per capita. The results were similar. We stil found that per capita, social programs only, not including SS and Medicare, that the red states took significantly more federal money than the blue states. It was not a surprise that Mississippi took the most per person, and I believe New York took the least. Even BTS concluded that they were voting against their interests (yes he said this, I am not paraphrasing).
And looking at a deep red state like Mississippi, it is impossible to conclude that the Republican voters are not getting aid. All of that money is not going to Democratic voters. So what happens if Mississippian's get their way? I believe that much of the state would become like a third world country. Are we saying that the reddest state on the map are a bunch of entitled people that refuse to take responsibility for their lives? I don't think this is important to Romney though, because they will likely put up with the insults for the social issues.

What little policy Romney Ryan have spoken of, shows their focus is on Mitt's Cayman Island pals and billionaire casino owner types. He's already told is he doesn't care about the poor, that's not his concern. Now he says he wants to focus on the middle class, but he's defined the middle class as those making 200-250k. I don't think that includes those working class whites you were worried about Burn.

Straw man. I've blamed no one. All Romney said was that some of his consultants have international experience.

Obama himself has taken sides, was involved, and made endorsements in African elections before being President. Does your criticism apply there as well?

To be completely accurate RBIH they may not be foreign, they just work for foreign campaigns.
I have a very good team of extraordinarily experienced, highly successful consultants, a couple of people in particular who have done races around the world. I didn't realize it. These guys in the US-the Karl Rove equivalents-they do races all over the world: in Armenia, in Africa, in Israel. I mean, they work for Bibi Netanyahu in his race. So they do these races and they see which ads work, and which processes work best, and we have ideas about what we do over the course of the campaign. I'd tell them to you, but I'd have to shoot you.
