India popularized the concept of the number 0

Well, popularized isn't the same and invented or discovered. But it's pretty irrelevant to this discussion.

Why have we become like a cowering wife afraid of an abusive husband? - Simon

That is a very good analogy on so many levels...

Time to stop living in the past VI.

In the here and now its Muslims running people over with cars and trucks, killing their own members in the middles east, killing Christians in the middle east, bombing young kids at concerts, killing atheists and homosexuals, shooting innocent people in metropolitan areas, and on and on.

    Islam is disgusting

I also think this is a world wide problem that needs to be dealt with such as banning this religious practice selectively by each solemn country.

I can't believe i'm defending this disgusting religion in any way, but that's not really the answer. Otherwise who do you propose should decide which religions are good and which are bad. You see the issue?

People should be free to believe what they want, and we should free to call them morons.

This is an earnest question. I don't follow these things closely and avoid the depressing news most of the time.

Do moderate or other Muslims ever come out and condemn these actions? And I don't mean a person here or there, but en masse, like the countries of the Middle East? It seems like I never see that, but again I don't follow closely. It seems like the Western world stands alone against it.

They will its not very well publicized. Also, some extreme individuals that support sharia will even condemn certain acts IN WORD. They will even raise or donate money.

Most moderates though as soon as it happens are out condemning "islamaphopbia" much louder. The majority are more concerned with their religion being associated with a plausible interpretation of it than they are that people died.

They also have the principles of Taqiyya, this allows them to basically lie or break the rules of their own religion to avoid persecution. Sound familiar? So even if they do, the intention is completely worthy of being questioned.

The sad truth is the majority of moderates join forces with the far left wing in insulating the terror issue.

When I was in JW and going door to door in NYC, I remember speaking to a Palestinian man. He wanted to let me know that he and most Muslims did not agree with what happened during 9/11. The longer we talked the more he tried to convince me it was justifiable, also theft and other acts. He didn't dislike what happened during 9/11, that is just something he told me. Just words.

Google Taqiyya and Kitman when you have more time.

Long story short, the majority of moderates are more appauled by it being pointed out their religion is associated with these acts, than the fact that their religion IS associated with these acts. Everyone wants to cry islamaphobe.

This is all-too familiar. Young man known to the authorities but seemingly without serious links to terror organizations. It is impossible for the British intelligence services to efficiently monitor the many young men who fit that description.
