I just thought I would point out that you can't honestly poke someone with little sticks and then cry foul when you get slapped upside the head with a log.

"Bad association spoil useful habits." And I thought it meant something different. (that's wibble for wow, I'd say pearls, Tammy would say a log?) Your not alone anymore AGuest. I understand. I think I do.

Tammy, it sounds like you saw her warning as hitting with a log? I saw it as standing on the very edge. But I think my trouble is that I love logic (wibble logic) even more than I love love.

Sog: Why didn't the JW elder turned apostate help more people? Because in the end it wouldn't have done any good, and he knew that without trying? Just something to think about.

    .........

I found this statement intriguing, care to elaborate?

Tec, I was okay leaving it at "why don't you stick to the topic instead of slinging your insults?" I wasn't interested in "crying foul." I only readdressed it because you cried "hypocrite."

If I were to analyze the "elder-past" comments, I would say that AGuest is bitter because she was ignored by WTS people as a woman and because she took her spirituality more serious than most elders, but they never handed out the "elderette" title.

But none of her personal insult nor my thoughts on it are on-topic so I won't dwell on that.

But back on topic, you have to admit that your continual support of her on this thread no matter what she says is getting tough on you.

I think the the conclusion of the matter, everything having been heard is.....why not use your amazing imagination for good and not for evil?

Nancy, going by past anecdotes given by Shelby herself, (keep pulling my pigtails, little boy, and I'm liable to turn around and... )... well, here we are.

I think Shelby has more love in her than most people. More faith than most as well. Nothing I said was meant as a rebuke for not being nice... because love is not always 'nice'. Lack of love can often be 'nice', because there is nothing invested. So who cares what someone thinks or does? (that sort of thing)

The only point I was calling out was the crying foul part.

    You have good eyes Nancy.

    Peace,

    Tammy

Thank you Tammy! One day I might tell you about the eye that turned to eyes. One day, on the other side. See you there, OK!

I might like to say here, because I think it applies, that the illustration of the sheep and the goats does NOT mean even what Shelby said, but I couldn't find the post. The traditional misunderstanding of it probably did more good, then harm. But it does not mean the good done to God's people. It has a spiritual (even logical) meaning that I do not trust will make much sense in "wibble". I am not ashamed of my "wibble". I even like that it has a nice name! Thankyou Q!

LOL, how is this back on topic? What topic?

Regardless, I don't put voice to support if I don't feel it, OTWO. That we happen to share the same faith, the same belief on Christ, on God... well, Q has to believe that's because I'm following her, despite what I've said to the contrary. I can't help that though. That is on him, not me.

I will say that we share the same faith in God because we both look to Christ as God's image. That is why others don't get the same understanding of God. They look to other things.

And I would say a lot of things on this thread have been 'tough on me', but supporting a friend and sister in Christ is not one of them, and defending Christ and God from lies and misconceptions... again, done out of love regardless of how tough on me it might be, because of those who will condescend and attack and insult as response.

Still, I didn't say, you GO shelby (in regards to you)... I never said anything at all on that... I just pointed out that you can't call her on something that you have done many times over, yourself.

    Peace,

    Tammy

    nice summation gladiator.

I do have a theory for Gog, N.drew, and i did not get it from a blog. what is your blog called btw?

gog to me suggests the hordes who threaten settled people.

why are you all so crestfallen?

I love both Shelby and OTWO

Yes, gog means horde, but not different kinds, just one horde. And they are a threat to people (I don't understand what "settled" means). I think what the difference between hordes of a kind that we hear about on the news and from history are one kind of dangerous horde, but not gog*. Gog, the way I understand gog is, is a threat not only to people, but to Earth, also. Gog is present now. The members of gog's crowd do not recognize that they are gog's crowd.

*a horde is a physical group that are physically together. Gog's crowd does not gather together. They are all over the Earth. They do not know one another.
