    There is a fine line between humility and fear, so you have to be wary when you identify an internal emotion as humility.

    Similarly as we predicted the Higgs Boson before we actually had empirical data, we can postulate he existence of a Creator without empirical data.

    No, Higgs Boson was predicted because of other evidence.....believing in a creator is faith, no evidence.

    I agree....I do not consider myself humble...but christians like to think of themselves this way...I see it based in fear.

    Wrong, our creation by God is self-evident. Society has always sought to destroy that innate awareness of internal connection to Creator. You still have the thoughts and feelings you have just allowed outside influences to corrupt your experience. Everytime you look at beauty you are communing with God, but you will define it as something else entirely, again, because of outside influence. Yours is a problem of perspective, not evidence.

    Thinking one is humble is dangerous thinking. I try to avoid it entirely.

    Religion is a curse upon mankind, the more you believe the worse your country and community. Naturally there are exceptions, but its a fact that Norway is one of the best countries on earth and the religious countries like Saudi Arabia are a hell. Lastly most Americans are only religious as long as its not too difficult. They ignore laws that are incompatible or difficult like stoning. At the very least I will say the Saudis and Taliban are at least more faithful to their wicked religions than any xian ever will be.

    mp->TEC:

    Im not disputing that Jesus said nice things here and htere. But if he was a God or son of God he should be perfect always. His opinions, actions and lack of actions should always be examples for all. This is why the Jesus story fails with regards to slavery. If he was son of God he should have seen his lack of condemnation would lead to much suffering. By this admission he has failed to be a prophet, he couldnt see a future on this matter.

    This is exactly the same crap as the WTS and its pedophile problem. Lets play a little game and construct a few simple truths and change these sentences by only changing subjects and so on, where Jesus is replaced by Watchtower and slavery by pedophilia. All changes are in bold.

    Jesus preached to the jews a message of love, but completely failed to see half his community was suffering as slaves. At no stage did he give them any comfort or condemn slavery but told them to be accept their fate.

    The watchtower preached to the world a message of armageddon, but completely failed to see manyin their community was suffering kids being molested. At no stage did they give them any comfort or condemn the pedophiles but effectively ignored the kids to their fate.

    Notice how absurd and unflattering and pathetic jesus looks when you realise just how evil his message is.
