ElderBerry: Itās all a matter of opinion what are bad ideas.
No, it's not.
If it is then your replies are, themselves, criticisms of opinions and therefore... arrogant.
Are you beginning to see the problem with your approach?

And I can go on, just click through my history, the abuse in the name of and on behalf of the organization continues until today. If you donāt believe it, as my post above, why stay?

That is the beauty of JW lite. Being PIMA you can be agnostic to everything. This is not arrogance this is humility.
Are you beginning to see the difference between PIMA and your approach where you decide what is definitely true or not?

I stay for the enjoyment of going to meetings and spending time with my friends. You donāt understand how much things have changed recently. Yes JWs used to smoke and celebrate Christmas but things change. All the things you talk about have got better now. I think things will continue to improve and the new GB will say āwe donāt knowā more and more.
Whatever your belief system you choose be happy in yourself that maybe it is wrong and you may well change in the future, this new one may be wrong as well but you have to realise this, then finally reach contentment. Thatās exactly what JW lite is š
ElderBerry: Are you beginning to see the difference between PIMA and your approach where you decide what is definitely true or not?
I am seeing the difference between dogma and thinking for one's self.
I could never be inside the organization because of the social aspect only.
There was a moment I couldn't hear all the fake and bullshit from the platform anymore. Every idiot there could make stupid statements and making answers without arguments.
So for my health I chose POMO.
Better then ever!

Yes that is exactly what JW lite is all about being PIMA and finding contentment. It may be true or it may not I donāt know and neither does anyone else.
But having a hope in the Bibles promises Brings comfort and stability to oneās life. Even being agnostic to if it is all true or not Pascalās wager is spot on.
@ElderBerry: the organization has NOT changed. You are peddling lies, whether or not you believe them. Had you read any posts of others on this forum, you know we and our children are still affected by JW doctrine and abuse today. Disfellowshipping and shunning is still in effect. Blood doctrine is still in effect. Shunning unbelieving family members is still in effect. Being thought that non-JW will die at Armageddon in cruel ways is still in effect. Two witness rule in regard to child abuse is still in effect. And those teachings have a real effect, especially on young people.
I have a 14 year old child, family and others that are still stuck. Nothing truly has changed. You may believe that you are getting away with something, you will at some point see that you are misleading yourself. What has changed is some of the rhetoric, but it has only become more insidious. You canāt call it a disfellowshipping because legal work performed by yours truly and many of our friends, we have over the past 15 years exposed the organization, started lawsuits in both the US and Europe, my mother testified in at least one, so now you call it something else, but the results remain the same.
You keep ignoring the question though because you know you are in the wrong and deceitful to yourself and your congregation. You are a Pharisee, laying heavy burdens on those that serve you while not lifting even a finger.
James 4:17 tells us, āIf anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesnāt do it, it is sin for them.ā
If you are so sure that what you do is acceptable, then pronounce it to your so-called friends. You are an elder, go to the media and on behalf of your organization apologize for the suicides. Apologize for the child molesters and turn over the documents in your congregation that you have been obligated to keep.
And you know you canāt do that because your so-called friends will shun you. Your family will even shun you. If you are so sure, prove me wrong.
If you are so sure, prove me wrong.
that is the entire point that you missed. JW lite literally means you are not sure. PIMA means exactly that, we are not sure.
We donāt know that is the point. But neither do you even if you are so sure that you do
@elderberry what is your limit what you can stomage all of that bizar comments, not educated cleaners tell you what to do and think and think not?
All those fake smiles? Happy families with behind the door problems? Looking arround you in the hall and thinking what am I doing here?!?

ElderBerry: It may be true or it may not I donāt know and neither does anyone else.
I am not disputing that the ultimate truths or knowledge about the universe are possibly unknown. That is not what this is about. Pretending to support an organization that is deceitful and has bad and dangerous policies can be harmful to you and others. Dismissing this risk because 'it's all opinion' is not an excuse. The dangers of shunning and of the blood policy are not simply matters of opinion, they cause real harm. The incorrect predictions are not opinions, they are wrong and a sign that the GB is not what it claims to be. The bad policies that protect child predators are not matters of opinion; they have real-world consequences to the victims and their families.
