Pooh. Are you actually considering living a false life, pretending to be a good dub, going along, just to please your husband? There will be no end to it. Do you realize that? You will have to do fioeld service, mold your behaviour, conform to the dress code, keep up appearances. You would be better making a stand now and living your own life. Its what youy will have to do in the end anyway,eventually, better now than when you are 65 and have wasted 40 years in the cult for nothing.

As to the other lady, Country gal, I know the dubs organization looks like it is comprised of deeply loving people and therefore it appears that the genuinely loving people of the world are drawn unto that organization. I also know that the Jehovahs Witnesses have a mathematical line of patter that appears to add up,(607 Bc plus 2520 equals 1914) . But neither of these things proves anything. Every cult Ive ever attended is full of deeply concerned loving ones looking compassionately and concernedly into your eyeballs and every cult has their own infallible mathematical proof of their prophet hood.
As to Simons Forum title being deceptive, well, so far as I am concerned, when one is fighting rotten deception, deception is a fair retaliatory weapon to be employed. I love JWs accusing apostates of deception. They openly publish that apostates are satanically evil and then say " You are being deceptive" as though we will apologize for being deceptive . Well of course we are deceptive, lol! We are Satanic! What would you expect?? Moral decency?. Of course Apostates are practising deception, Christ woman...what else would you expect. So why even mention it? Of course, the WT organization has never practised any deception have they? Course not. Theyve never misled anybody on anything and they always speak the absolute truth on every issue. ( As if there can ever be any such thing as "truth" )
The dubs come to my door, I talk to them, later they find out Im DF and then they say I have misled them. Well hot shit! They came to my door, I didnt ASK them to come. Am I my brothers KEEPER ? What, Im a DF apostate/ fornicator and Im supposed to say "oh brothers, Im DF you shouldnt come to this door because holy sprit might be withdrawn from you". Yeah right.

I am curious. After reading through this thread, what exactly are you wanting from us?
It's been my experience that very often we find what we are in search of. I came to this site and found knowledge, friendship and unconditional acceptance. If you have not northern girl, then I'm sorry for you.

I don't see any deception on the part of Simon. The "home" or "title" page to this site, has a list of folders, and next to each folder is a description and title of one or more recent posts. One sub-heading includes "apostafest get togethers", one folder mentions abuse. One mentions analyzing the watchtower. (we know truly analyzing the Watchtower is forbidden).
Besides even after you "sign up" for the site... regaurdless of whether you took the time to find out more... An individual choice must be made EACH TIME you log onto this site. In the year that I have been a member I have NEVER recieved an unsolicited e-mail, or spam promoting this board, OR trying to push any opinion on me.
Further on the subject of Deception: I am forced to agree with Refiners fire.... Sometimes deception is necessary. I myself am decieving the JW's right now. This Identity I have now on this site is a "secondary" Identity. I attend meetings, assemblies, bible studies. I am gathering all the "ammo" that I can. (dont let the georgia thing try to clue you in... I travel often) Having been raised a dub, I know all the proper things to say, and do. I am very good at it. They will not beat me.
You see, I intend to rescue my mother and sister from this thing. They will fight me all the way. If I have to single handedly deceive and manipulate these people to do this, then they are a casualty of their own creation. I WILL succeed. I have truth on my side. I do not hate anyone, or mean harm to anyone. I only want what is mine.

well NG, talk about the pot calling the kettle black. u came to this site, (thinking it was a JW site.). u are DF-u know u are not allowed to asociate with other jws -what were YOU going to do -lie to your fellow JWS? Now that u know it is an apostate site, why do u wish to continue? To berate us? We are the liars?
I suggest u go to a jw site and see if u can get in. They won't let u in if u tell them the truth.
But u come here and accuse us of being dishonest.
Are u planning on telling the elder who is giving u the mags "oh btw, i was so in need of assocation, i went to a jw site, but then found out it was apostate, and stayed around to talk with them. " I am sure that will go a long way toward your being reinstated.(not) or will u say " i was going to a jw site and not going to reveal my status as DF" (the only way u will get to join the other boards.)
so as Big tex, said, what is it u want? U are welcome to hang around, (simon and mods have control over board), and if u want to argue jw theology, there is a secton for that. People will respond.
So if we are bad and deceptive, why are u still here?

Northern Girl, I guess I never said "hi"... so welcome... regaurdless of what you feel right now, you have taken the first step. YOU are HERE, getting the OTHER side of the story. You seem like an intelligent, well spoken person.
As far as Simon "giving you the boot"... wont happen... unlike SOME organizations ... I think Simon is open to hearing EVERYBODY's opinion. I have never known him to "boot" someone for an opinion, provided it isn't hurtful or plain ol nasty.
I wish you all the luck in the world, and I hope you will stay with this site, even after you are re-instated if that is the path you choose. Most of the people here are very open to hearing what you have to say, as long as you leave the "my way is the ONLY way" attitude at the door. I for one, would be more than interested in knowing your reasons for wanting so badly to be back in. Just curiosity,,, I wish no confrontation...
